Joey Bada$$ 1999 mixtape

^According to Joey its 1999 on crack!

We shall see. I have confidence that this mixtape will be dope!

I really do look forward to his debut to see what he has in store with legendary producers like Premo, Pete Rock & Q-Tip etc. It sucks we have to wait til early next year but hopefully this can hold us over.

For those wondering this is the DL link. Drops at 2 EST today : http://www.datpiff.com/Joey-Bada-Summer-Knights-mixtape.494039.html

I was diggin T'Nah as well... She's dope and a breathe of fresh air in hip hip. Been waiting on a women MC to come outta NYC for a minute now too.

I'm anticipating Summer Knights later today. Even after I felt like Joey was a herb, I'll give dude the benefit of the doubt

Need to give this a few more listens.

Same here. Gave it one listen and I definitely like it. Will listen a few more times to judge how much I exactly like it.

Standout tracks thus far:

Hillary Swank (may be my favorite track on the project....just too smooth)- I've played this song at least 7 times already
My Yout
Death of YOLO
Sweet Dreams
Trap Door
Word Is Bond
Satellite
95' Til
Reign (really really good introspective song)
Long Live Steelo

Those are some of my favorite tracks as well. I like the album alot. I feel like it's more diverse then 1999 . It gives you all different types of feels. That might sound asinine but I don't just really know how to explain it lol.

Downloaded. Will give it a listen tonight, heard the first track and liked it.

Definitely agree with you here. I LOVE the 1999 sound but the sound on this is indeed more diverse. You still get the boom back NYC sound which I love but with a bit more modern flava.

Haven't gave it a full spin yet but I enjoyed the songs I heard. What's the point of having T'nah Apex featured on the track list tho? :smh:

Havent really been feeling much of dude stuff post 1999... but im dl this and check it out.

1999 is still :smokin

on my first listen my favorite tracks are -

right on time
trap door
amethyst rockstar ( joey over DOOM production :smh::smh: :smokin )
