Joey Bada$$ 1999 mixtape

If I listened to this withoug knowing it was JB, I would think this was Smif N Wessun. That's what this tape reminded me of...and that's definitely a good thing.

Welp, still haven't got around to listening to 1999, but I'm gonna throw the headphones on before I go to sleep and check out Summer Knights. Will be the first full-length stuff I've heard from him

That LiveMixtapes download took a phat minute. I ain't even had time to listen to this ****. Pretty hype after seeing these posts though.

I've listened a few more times and like 1999 and I really like the flow of this project. It is good to see when young artists know how to put a project together so the tracks flow seamlessly.

Summer Knights > 1999. No typo.

I knew someone would start this conversation soon.

Its tough and I think SK needs more time to stand on its own.

It's very close but I think 1999 is a better project because I think the best tracks on 1999 are superior to the best tracks on this project. However like I said its still very early....I do agree the sound on this project is a bit more diverse which is why I can see some people liking this better.

Fear The Ibis, Sweet Dreams is fiyah! Its between that and Swank for my favorite tracks on here.

I need to listen to this album more before I judge it.

But Joey needs to do a mixtape full of Harry Fraud and DJ Premier production... that would be sooooooo :smokin

I can't stop playing #LongLiveSteelo... something about that Beat.... :smokin

Right now #LongLiveSteelo and my yuth are my fav at the moment. Need a few more listens befor I compare 1999 to this project

Definitely needs more of these two. Not that the production isn't already great though.

I'm really waiting on whatever he has with Pete Rock coming too

Yeah I would love to see him do another track with Harry Fraud. Day In A Life was :pimp: and hopefully he has at least 2 Premo tracks on his debut. Really looking forward to what he has cooking with Pete Rock and Q-Tip as well.

Speaking of productio... Lee Bannon's production on this tape! :pimp:

Harry Fraud's production in general is :smokin

SAAAB Stories and the EP he produced for Curren$y are both great.

Alowha, Hillary $wank, Death of YOLO, Sweet Dreams, Word Is Bond, 95 'Til Infinity, Amethyst Rockstar, and #LongLiveSteelo are definitely my favorite tracks. As of now, if I had to pick one, it'd prolly be Sweet Dreams.

Yeah I didn't know much about him until I heard Day In A Life but I also listened to SAAB Stories and dug his production on that product.

Sidebar, Sweet Dreams is officially my favorite track on this project.

SK is great, brings some of that 1999 feel, but on steroids.

Don't have any stand-out tracks, still bump '95 till Infinity (don't care how long its been out for now)

whole thing is a chill musical ride. :smokin
