Joey Bada$$ 1999 mixtape

It's pretty good, I don't think his sound is anywhere close to Joey's. He just needs beats that really fit him, some of the beats on there just didn't make sense IMO.

EDIT: Also, so far Soulo has the #1 verse of the tape

Im liking the tape a lot. The beats are hard and CJs flow always been dope to me the way he holds some words longer and such.

I have to co-sign everything here. Tape is ok....much stronger and better beat selection towards the end of the tape. Beginning of the tape felt like he was struggling to find his sound and many of the beats didn't work IMO.

Sadderdaze is fiyah!! Soulo kills that beat! :smokin

Honestly any time a rapper actually "freestyles" it's like nails on a chalkboard to me. There are very few rappers in the industry that are actually good at it. That Joey one was terrible. I much rather here rappers come with prewrittens when they rap on a radio station.

^That was solid but I kind of wish they just chose one beat and stayed with it. Good to see T'nah Apex back in the fold....I really want to hear more from her. Joey spazzed as usual.

she's nice with it... im interested in hearing more material from her too. she's definitely got potential.

^ songs a 10/10.. I almost melted when I hard the beat drop lol

I wish they all work with Chuck a bit more... Only got like one beat on this and Summer Knights.

I have to agree that one of my disappointments on Summer Knights was that we didn't get more than one Chuck Strangers produced track. Everything he produced for 1999 was fiyah and Satelites is a dope beat too!

The youngin is dope...

When I heard "Hardknock" earlier this year I had to download the tape just off the strength of the song.. Then I heard "Waves", I can't lie ish had me like..
