The thing is, what do you actually know about the shape of a shoe you've only seen in 2-3 pictures? You have no idea what this late rendition is going to look like, and it actually kind of does look like the few crappy shots we have seen. That being said I also think they're replicas because why the hell would Ellerbe be the first human on earth not named Kanye West to have these shoes

They're not gonna change the shape of a shoe so dramatically in a year's time. So, yes I do have an idea. Because at the end of the day this is all about money and it wouldn't make any financial sense to change the shape of the shoe.
Yes, they do it with the retro's, both Nike and Jordan Brand, but that's a completely different scenario. This isn't a retro. Also, from what I've seen of these recent "Red Octobers", there are other qualities that speak to them all being replicas.
Now, this may be the most amazing replica situation i've ever seen, as these replicas are extremely detailed considering there are no real clear pictures of the shoe, as you stated.
I expect to see tons of kids and grown men alike with "Red Octobers".

You're naive if you don't see that the factories that make the reps are also the same ones that nike contracts to make the retail pairs. They have all the molds, the materials, the blueprints. This is someone on the inside making a couple of bucks for themselves by selling the reps.

Lol do you even know how Nike does business? There are no NIKE brand factories in Putian China. You really think these factories would have access to the materials if Nike didn't provide it to them already?
I understand you don't like hearing it. But it's the truth. You'll also enjoy hearing that there are no copyright infringement laws in China. Just another by product of Nikes decision to cheap out on the labor costs to produce these shoes. The reality is that The reproduction of replicas or GM shoes has no bearing on nikes sales so they are not considered threats to the market. Hence why Nike does nothing to stop it. Lose a couple thousand a year or save a couple of million in outsourcing labor. Hmmm if you were a CEO what would you decide?
