Stupid kids telling I was wearing "clown shoes" because of all the red. Still wore them everyday and beat them to death. Looking back, I was doing it big even though my kicks were not "hot" in the eyes of the other 5th graders. Needless to say, I'll be damed if I don't cop these. Nike air or not. Anyway, sorry for the cool story bros, just had to share.

No , don't think this story deserves a "cool story bro". it encompasses what this release is supposed to represent. Its (to me personally) a release for those who understand and pays homage to the very shoe that started this crazy fascination and wacky hobby (to others) that brings us together on these boards. Those complaining about the leather and quality are kinda missing the boat on what jb is starting to do in 2013. It actually shows that they are actually listening to us and giving us what we want but not how we want it for our own good. If they were to give us EVERYTHING , jordans would be dead. TRUST ME.
 
Between these and the Knick 1s, which ones do you guys think will be more rare as time goes on? . I wanna buy just one for now and cop the other one later, but cant decide on which.

these are going to be my everyday casual shoes, sort of like the way people wear converse all stars.

stupid but serious question, is there an air unit in this?

same here. those things are pure tanks and that leather was superb :smokin

definitely beasting over the Knicks. i love the Nike branding and though I hate the Knicks, blue/orange is one of my favorite color combinations (next to purple/orange, black red, white/red, and blue/volt)
 
These seem to be more limited than I had expected. I've called around to all my local FNL, FTL, FA, Champs locations and only one store is receiving pairs. I guess I'll just gun for these online and keep my fingers crossed. I'm real worried about the Royals, though, considering NDC isn't even releasing the Knicks.
 
I've held a pair earlier. I inspected everything. the leather is not as bad
as you guys say it is. It's better than the BC3/TB3/WC3 from last year.

the overall build is good and I appreciate the craftsmanship. However,
there are some imperfections that I don't mind.
 
I haven't checked in around the area about how these are releasing, but from what I hear, they will be pretty hard to get. Luckily, NTSF is doing an RSVP so my best chances are there. Me, I never owned an OG pair of these, so with these coming out it gives me a chance to get the color way. Even if they do release them again with Nike Air, I'll probably just get those too if I can. As far as quality goes, if you don't like it, don't get them lol. Can't do much about it I guess.
 
I can't believe I'm saying this but I think the Knick I's are growing on me more than these.
Now, I'm talking retro White/Red I's here, OG's >>>>>>> all.
 
Finally back in the states. Was jetlagged like a mug. Slept through NTSM and missed out on NTLA cos they messaged me two days ago saying there was no rsvp for these. Bunch of clowns over there passing wrong info

Anyways gonna hit the mall near me tomorrow for a guaranteed ticket and if I miss on that then it's online or bust. Best of luck fellas. 
 
these are somewhat limited. Definitely not a General Release. That's for sure, unlike the
Air Jordan 5 which is available as F.

Just glad I got my pair of these OGs reserved. so happy! Will be worn as beaters anyway.
No damn will be given.
 
^^ yeah man my local mall only has one store selling them out of a combined five. And only the Chicago's at that.

didn't realize they weren't GR until today. oh well. got mine locked so that's a relief!
Here's the thing though, if this is not a GR, imagine how tough it will be to grab the
"Nike Air" if it will release. It makes no sense to get those over these if they will be
a pain to get. I will beat mine to the ground anyway, so maybe value is more important
to some? How far different will the quality be right, it can't be that great to put yourself
through hell.
 
Still on the fence with these... I really have eyes set on the 5s and 13s dropping in the next couple weeks... But I've been wanting the Old Love 1s. Does anyone have a comparison of these to the Old Love 1s?
 
Old Love/Black Toes are releasing as well. Most likely in lesser quantities because of
the Nike Air. Grabe these first, the 5s are more available.
 
It is hella strange so cal area ventura county no store are getting them exept crsvr so these r hella limted in the west coast
