Aww man here we go

Sell off some kicks if you know you have way too many and don't wear half of them, take the money and put it towards a car. If your credit is decent, put it towards a lease while you're down there (provided you get a job to cover the payments every month) because it's not like in NY where your car breaks down and you just have to take public transpo for a month or two until you get the dough up to fix it, you gotta have your car at all times.

Don't worry about getting rid of hoodies, you'll need a hoody once in a while in the colder months, just get rid of a few winter coats, but keep at least one or two for the holidays if you travel back to NY.

Main thing I can tell you is, move there knowing you're going somewhere new, and try to appreciate it for what it is. No place on earth is like NYC. We're spoiled, we've got excitement and variety EVERYWHERE, and we take it for granted, so when we move elsewhere, all we do is think about how it's not the same as NY. Of course it's not the same, that's what makes NY special, so appreciate where you are for what it is. Enjoy not having to deal with snow, find out what a few decent clubs are, learn the best local restaurants, hit up Disney once or twice, and just enjoy it. Also, girls always love a regional accent that's different from their own, so you'll be good money...

Do the right thing and get you a Universal/Disney Florida resident annual pass if you can afford it. I understand the car comes first.

I live in the South but am trying to move to Central Florida myself. The wife and I go 3-4 times a year and love it every time. Orlando is a melting pot of different cultures and lots of tourists. I love it and there's plenty of things to get into. The weather is damn near perfect year round. Expect afternoon showers that last 5 minutes.

International Drive and I-4 can get hella busy in the evening or during the morning commute, but nothing compared to bigger metropolis' I'm sure.

Orlando > New York, but that's just me. Have fun bro!

Yea you're def gonna need a car my dude. Keep your hoodies because it does get a bit cold down here during the winter, just not full fledge leather coat cold. Orlando and pretty much the surrounding central fl area is filled with women and there's plenty to do for a single guy. It's close to Tampa as well so that's 2x more stuff to do. Can't really say anything bad about Orlando other than traffic and it being boring sometimes, but life is what you make it. Good luck fam

A car is a MUST. Orlando is spread out so what part would you live at? Got a lot of outlets if you like buying sneakers. Have friends who came from New York and they all differ on Orlando. Some liked it while others said life was just too slow and moved elsewhere. Schoolwise, I graduated from UCF and liked it. Its a really big school though, so just depends on your preference.

Moving to the Orlando area and moving to Orlando, specifically downtown, are two different things. Orlando can't really compare to NYC, or even other legit cities like Chi, SF, LA, etc. It depends on the kinds of things you like doing or what you need.

You're going to need a car. You're still going to need hoodies, I mean.. have you ever been there before? You should probably visit before you make this kind of decision or rely on NT to give you advice.

, For real tho Orlando is a country themed NY because everyone tries to have the accent, but besides that you will need a car to pull the flocks of Chongas.

P.S. Don`t be fooled that Disney is everywhere it does have real hoods.

Lmaooooo, wow Bro that's true too! I went to Saint Rose and the baseball players got all the love

I do plan to move down there in maybe less than year or so. I'm gettin sick of NJ real talk. My sis has been living in the Orlando area for years and she loves it. 3 of my cousins moved down there and they love it. I came down there for a week and I can see myself living there. It's laid back. I'm still stacking and maybe when I'm down there I can finally finish school. OP, central FL ain't bad. Just make sure you plan it out right.
