Will Bynum, a former Georgia Tech basketball player now playing in Israel, was arrested Saturday and accused of running over a man after leaving a nightclub brawl.

The injured man, a disc jockey at the club, was in serious but stable condition, the Haaretz newspaper reported. Bynum had a hearing in Tel Aviv and was to remain in custody until Sunday, according to the Haaretz newspaper.

Bynum plays for Israeli champion Maccabi Tel Aviv. A group of basketball players were at a Tel Aviv nightclub when they became involved in a fight, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said

Oh, WILL bynum, I read andrew at first and the article mentioned Georgia Tech and I was like "wait a minute"....DC, you should be his lawyer if hegets sued or has to go to court!!

I thought it was Andrew too proly cuz im drunk right now...glad its not him, but sucks for Will.

i've never understood this Will Bynum crap.

Classic "SLAM effect": a player is hyped coming out of high school/early in college by SLAM, and is thereafter viewed as a star by young peopleacross the country, even if he fails horribly in the league.

Famous cases: DaJaun Wagner, Sebastian Telfair, Omar Cook, and Andre Barrett. Usually point guards, especially from NYC.

/\ Will Bynum was never really "that hyped". Dude was like somewhere between 45-50 in his class in HS. The Bynum hype comes from the show Preps.

And people need to stop including Wagner in that group...his problems had nothing to do with basketball.

I thought this was a typical NT spelling error and really meant: Will Bynum Get Arrested?

Why a player did not succeed is somewhat open to debate.

Whether a player did is not.

definition of a hater. Taking shots at NYC point guards. Here we go again.

btw only on NT will this be a major story.

Getting arrested in Israel doesn't sound like such a good idea. At least he's American.

My dude Dub-Bee.....Y'all need to stop hating...

DC has been on bynum's jock for a while.. if it wasn't for him most of NT wouldn't have heard of him post GT

Will Bynum has NOTHING to do with SLAM. Maybe you missed the ever so popular show, "PREPS: Chicago Hoops"
