Air Jordan XX8 aka 2013, new "Proplate Zoom" Technology OFFICIAL THREAD.

Your crazy, I personally think all J's past 14 are pretty dope with the exception of the 2009s the ones that came out that looked like they were made with basketball leather?  I don't know why cats be sleepin....  the 2012's are fresh.  It has nothing to do with a limited tag, ****... 2012's are still on the shelf locally where I'm at.

I'm personally kinda sick of the re-retro trend.... Wish Jordan would just put out retros in new colorways.
I was speaking of all Jordan's after the XXIII I love the XV's n up but not the 2009 models and above, I'm also sick n tired if seeing the same shoes regurgitated over n over again I've been of Jordan's for a couple of yrs now they've become less significant IMO. I enjoy LeBron's hell even the Air Flight 89 has become one of my favorites there's no hype n I can cop on sale. I understand from a performance stand point they might be great but they sure are ugly n they would not be anything I would wear casually.

People are so critical of the shoe just off a little picture of the carbon fiber plate.
No one will even give these a chance! Just like the 2012, and 2011 and the 2010 and the 2009...
It won't even matter what the shoe will look like, people will badmouth the shoe just because the Air Jordan flagship isn't a hyped up shoe anymore
The 2012's were a dope shoe and you all can laugh at me for saying that but it's my opinion
They are great for ballin and they look good off the court
I don't see why naming the shoe after a year has so much to do with the shoe itself
So what if it's not a number Jordan? It will automatically be "garbage" what is your reasoning in that?
The name of a shoe has nothing to do with how it looks feels and performs
It's sad to think that the shoes that made Jordan so popular are holding the company back!
People just want retros and couldn't care less about new stuff JB puts out
I don't even think people know what looks good and what doesn't anymore, they just let hype and fruit loop color ways decide that

i stopped buying non retro J´s after the AJ 2011..The 2012 were garbage to me..just didnt have that sleek n sexy J´s have had in the past..

...glad as hell i got the stealth XX3´s and the white/black as well as the black/stealth 2011´s. To me, whatever JB is coming up with as the newest AJ model is pointless..let alone the price:smh:

Anybody look at those black/purple/greens and tell me how they are fresh.

Agreed. Known as the "Incredible Hulks", these are the only recent Jordan I have copped other than the XX Lows. Cool idea for inspiration.

2010, 2011, 2012 are all performance beast on court and i was able to buy for deep discount. I basically bought carrera and viper for the price of honda and toyota. The 2012 wolf grey was super responsive and comfy on the court. If the 2013 perform like the 2012. It will be bought.

Why do people compare shoes to cars?

I think JB made a bad marketing decision when they stopped the actual numbering of the shoes at 23. At least back then they were getting some buyers that bought just for the sake that they would have every numbered J in the lineup. Now that that line is discontinued, they've lost out on those buyers since the new line has failed to create any truly powerful designs, at least in terms of appearance; shoes that people would buy to wear casually. I think the KD/LeBron/Kobe lines show that it is possible to have both performance and looks.

I prefer it stopped at 23, it just looks better imo. Jordan 24, 25, 26 just sounds weird.

Just remembered that Kevin hart was rocking these at the celebrity all star game

If u ask me, its because air jordans
which MJ did not wear on the
Nba court are less sought after
than those which he wore.
remember how the sales of the
og 9 went down after he retired
And how fast the og 10 chicagos
Sold when he was back.
despite the expensive retail price
Of the 17 and 18, they still sold
much better than expected.
Because mj wore them in the
Nba.
Im sure if mj was playing in 2012
well, they would alsi sell crazy!

I hope these come out better than i'm expecting like they have the past few years. At first look I didn't like the 2011s or 12s, but they grew on me and I liked them when they released. The Nike+ is going to be overpriced though

whether you only wear og colours mike wore, or whether you stopped at 23, or whether you buy every main sig or if you buy every jay, the place where you draw your line is personal and arbitrary. we all like what we like, none are more legitimate than anyone else. buy what you like, and so on.

personally, i am looking forward to the 2013.

SMH at people already writing these off after a teaser pic and vague description.

2012's were dope.

Maybe if Kanye endorsed these, all the kiddies would like 'em? Or if they dropped in some glow in the dark, hot pink colorway??

this.

doubt 2013s will be nice like the 2011s. pretty sure i'll look at the technology when it hit outlets

the irony of it is that these young kids never seen him play, so they based it on the hype. JB needs some of their big players to wear the new flagship shoes but they have their own sig line.

I'm young and I watched him play for the wizards, and I watched the older games on YouTube.

You can't write off all the young people, just most of us

Same here. I HATED the 2012's when they first surfaced but after seeing more cw's and actually trying on the shoe and wearing them I quickly realized that these were one the better shoes to come out this year IMO

This

A lot of the colorways they released could have been better. The the wolf grey were fine, it's just the neon bootie wasn't a smart move.

I hope to get some more on the cheap as they go to outlets.

:smokin The real issue is there's no hype to Jordan's now for the hypebeast. They need more limited colorways, packs and themes.

Yep, bad move. They almost turned JB to a retro line exclusively.

Yeah, they at least need to have more players like Ray Allen, Q or Juwan Howard wear them. They stopped having people to JB and gave them their signatures(Melo, CP3, DWade), but they still need some young and rising talent the way they used to have with Derek Anderson's and Darius Miles' to promote the line. You have players wearing Jordan's, but retros, which for the life of me I don't understand. Yeah they might look better from a far, but you'd rather wear a pair of X's or IV's than 2012's? If basketball was my career, and your feet, ankles and legs are essential to your livelihood there's no way I'd risk it on 10 and 20 year old technology in half *** retros.
