if Nike wanted to continue to do good numbers post retirement, all they would have had to do is one thing.

PUT JORDAN IN THE SHOES

imagine this..

youre flipping through a magazine and you come across this full page ad..

mj shooting a fadeway jumper in poorly lit arena all by himself wearing the 2012.

thats right there is game over for me i would have to buy them.

advertise the latest jordan on the man himself i dont care how old he is.

they should have been doing this since 2003.

Exactly, the funny thing is you will have a few fools who pay retail when they can grab it for $60 at the outlet 1-2 months later and tell everyone that they will regret not buying. agreed. the 2012s performed very well and were extremely comfortable... especially since i got two pairs for $120 lol. i love them, and i really dont think that look that bad, compared to all the other yearly signatures.

I like all of the Air Jordans and I take them for what they are worth.  Unfortunately, most people only want retros.  I can't wait to see what the 2013 will look like.  I will probably buy them because I usually get the flagship model with the exception of the 2010.

the teaser pic of the AJ 2013 reminds me of a sports car interior somehow.
If the shape and colorblocking is good I consider to get them.

2011 are the best well balanced post-numbered Jordan to come out in terms of style and comfort, 2012s are good for ballin but they included too much gimmicks on the shoe, hopefully the 2013 are a blend of bothohwell.gif

gimmicks, Gimmicks and MORE GIMMICKS!!

nike, masters of creating some BS backstory to tie in with the so-called "tech" (that, in reality has no function) to build some sort of emotional connection with the consumer so that we, not only want the shoes, but HAVE TO HAVE THEM.

newsflash nike, they have to at least either:

1. look good
2. perform well

-OR-

3. be limited ohwell.gif
