Yeah I would say its more durable for hooping. Everytime zip up my red camo xx8s I always feel like imma rip the shroud! I feel ya I love hooping in these as well.
 
Got the carbons easy at Niketown Seattle. I think they still had a FSR of the carbons and montrose. They do phone orders for any needing a pair.
 
Holding out for the white hardwood. I just hope they don't mess up with some funky color liner.

No word on bamboos. Jb has been keeping it on the hush about xx8 releases up until a week or two away from release.
 
Copped my pair of Carbon Fiber XX8 at HOH. Was on the fence at first but when I saw them in person, I knew I had to cop. Also helped that I got them for 186 total. Not a huge fan of the bright crimson bootie but it works with the metallic red on the midsole. Love these a lot more than I thought I would. My HOH only got one pair per size. Luckily they still had my size when I got there midday. Only a few scattered sizes leftover after I copped. They still had a lot of the other red ones that dropped today.

Those are obviously samples, look at the clean midsole. I'm not saying they won't release in some fashion, just don't expect them to loo like that.
 
I wouldn't worry about it, I copped Carbon's off Eastbay Saturday morning early and they are back ordered until May 3rd.  Guessing some stores got their stock in but a lot of online retailers won't until later this week. 
 
 
I got a backorder email too(from champs) and its back ordered until 4./27/13.... Which was release date.... anybody know what's going on?
 
I just called customer service at footlocker. They received the Oakhills and will be processing orders today but they have not received the Crimson/Black. It was a short notice confirmation from Jordan Brand and they were told to sell the shoes on 4/27 even though they didnt get the shipment yet. The shipment is coming and the shoes will be shipped out when it does. 

I wonder why Jb is making the notice for sales of the XX8 so short and sudden.
 
just a heads up for everyone salty they werent able to cop saturday - i was able to do a phone order to NTNY this morning for the crimsons in a size 11. they may have sold out online, but they are definitely still in stores.

I did the same at 9am CST and they were so busy. They even got the wrong size I requested. They pulled an 11. Either way, they just called back sending my correct pair. If anyone ordering here is the product number 555109-020 Bright crimson. I heard Chicago and Las Vegas still have a few. Good luck.

called nike seattle they ony have 10.5 and up, nike las vegas sz 13 and 14, nike chicago got the last sz 9.5

I called Nike Seattle and got the Carbons in a size 10. Glad I didn't see this post 1st, cause I probably would've got discouraged and not even called. Should be here by end of week. Can't Wait!!!:smokin
