Air Jordan XX8 aka 2013, new "Proplate Zoom" Technology OFFICIAL THREAD.

If you really believe nike pays 100 dollars for a yard of that material you aren't thinking very clearly. nike would never use a material they had to pay that much for. they probly pay a 10th of that

Nobody is making it up, it came directly from NIke. They don't own the fabric so thats why they had to pay a premium for using another companies material. Why is that so hard to believe.

Of course Nike would exaggerate on how much they actually pay. They're a money making business company after all. They probably paid like 5 dollars max for the material behind close door but on paper they put $50 to justify the resell price lol.

Just imagine you running a business. Would you want your customer to know the real cost of your business or the inflated cost? If i bought a car for $2000 and resell it back for $5000. I'm not letting my customer know that i bought it for $2000 lol. I will tell them i got it for $3000. Just basic business strategy.

Ok so I'm finally home and am able to try my grey elephants. I'm not very happy with those who recommended going a half size down earlier in the thread. Going down is something I have to do sometimes, once a whole size, but these are tight.

With no way to change it, I'll have to live with a big difficulty getting them on. No one has mentioned the grippy lace loops as far as I've seen. They make it a big nuisance to loosen the laces before putting them on. I can zip em but they're tight enough to get my leg hair.

Hi all,

So, while perusing the internet the other day, I came across this image from the release of the AJ2009. It appears that this was Jordan Brand's first (largely failed) attempt at a flight plate. Look familiar?

If you have played in the 2009, you would know that the tech behind the shoe is quite good.  It only failed in comparison to sales of previously released Air Jordan flagship model shoes.

That's mostly what I meant by failed. However, it was also MUCH heavier than the present flight plate, and a bit unstable owing to the high heel.

those designs remind me more of the 2012 than the xx8.

what's the difference between the 2009 "arch plate" and the cf arch protection in many jays since the xi?

and what is special about "flight plate"?

I would just say that this gives us an insight into JB's earlier attempts at trying to deconstruct the midsole and make it more based around carbon fiber and new forms of propulsion/cushion. It was just a bit heavy and unstable. But I would def. argue that it's the predecessor to the flight plate--where they started to figure things out more.

Sorry to here that. I found that tts was perfect fit for me, though I wear elite socks.

Yeah, the grippy lace loops are a pia at times.

wearing them all day, i gladly concede they are fitting ok now. still getting them on is a bit of a b.

Okay, I take back my earlier complaint. Each time I put these on, it gets easier.

Man that first time I was convinced there's no way they'll fit.

so i got my oak hills in and jesus they are weightless and so comfortable. Still havent decided if i want to play ball in them yet or just wear them casually.

^^^ thanks for the photos. not a fan of the pants you took the shoot in but to each his own.

I saw the red ones recently.... really want to try them out for performance but not for $250 or so. definitely not happy with the price point.

they just some sweats it was late and i had finally got back home from a friends house watching the game. They are a dope camo sweat. But yea i couldn't bring myself to pay 250 for the shoe but i understand why it is 250 when you get them on feet.
