Official Saucony Originals / Retro Thread

Basically the feel of this shoe is small elements that surround the saltwater fishing experience especially trolling, the color are both reference to a lure to catch big fish and the condition the weather changes when out in the sea, beside the suede and leather on these to give it a bit more of lux material real fishing material people would be upset due to not being premium materials in hand people would love the shoe as does for all west shoes once in hand a bit more understood and appreciated
Repped. My saltwater fishing tends to be in the Gulf and South Florida, so initially I couldn't find anything familiar material/color wise (more blues/greens) Saltwater fishing in the Atlantic around NY and north of there does make a better connection with that color scheme.

Hey, kind of random, but does anyone know if fakes of the Kushwhackers exist? And if so, how to tell the difference between fake and authentic?

Blake, he meant the Kush

How is the fit on these Courageous - TTS? They are on sale at a few places and I'm thinking of ordering a pair.

Went with my standard Saucony TTS at a 9.5 US. I do the same in all of their models (Shadow 5000, Shadow Original, Grid 9000, etc.) If you need any specific model comparison, let me know. I have New Balances, Asics, Nikes, and others.

those courageous look a lot better in that pic then on the actual saucony page.

I have a pair of black/white/gray shadow 5000's that need some love, what is the recommended way to keep em fresh?  looks like I have a small amount of dirt in the suede toe on em. Paid $55 for em on some european website and I get more compliments on these shoes than my huarache nm's, & rare roshe's...but they are literally my dailys.

Spray on those hydrophobic repel stuff. I use Tarrago Universal Protector and it does a decent job. There are other sneaker branded sprays as well. If dirt still ends up on them it usually makes cleaning up (with an eraser and suede brush) much easier.

I'd start by getting a suede brush and see if you can get them clean with that. If not, move onto a suede eraser, then brush the suede afterward. Only use a liquid cleaner as a last resort. A repellant like mykoh recommended is a good idea once they're clean.

My true size is 11.5 and I wear an 11.5 in Grid 9000.  Would you recommend staying with the 11.5 for the Courageous and also the DXN Trainer?  Thanks.

Ha, damn u right... Nevermind, never seen fakes of those yet.

I know I'm late, but thanks guys.

Did anyone get Kushwhackers without the extra pair of laces? I see listings and some have extra laces while others don't. Just wondering if it means anything.
