Not sure if troll or just stupid...

I mean, that top 5 list he posted does have some credibility and stands up to criticism.

The only way I could see Kobe sliding into that top 5 is if you make the argument that Wilt's best years came when he was with Philly.

From what I've read wilt didn't elevate his game that much when it mattered most. While being so much more physically gifted.

But the stats are absurd.

And yeah Kobe is amazing and one of the best of an era but that list isnt troll material. I mean where does jeter get placed on the Yankees?

Yeah you could but with out Wilt the Logo never wins a ring.

Wilt also won Finals MVP that year.

This is the only reason why I have Kobe in the Laker Top 5 All Time, otherwise hes the sixth man.

Shaq was a laker for a weekend compaired to kobe. I say kobe takes shaqs spot in that top 5 list.

Michael
Russell
Magic
Kareem
Kobe
Duncan
Shaq
Bird

...if Lebron doesn't end up with 3 or more championships, which is highly doubtful, I don't see him surpassing anyone on that list.

Kobe averaged 15.6 PPG & 4.6 RPG in his first Finals in 2000. How does ESPN get this wrong!? Lol

Just stupid.

Those are Kobe's numbers against Philly which was his second title, not his first.

He averaged a shade under 16 against Indy in '00. Getting hurt in G2 & his miserable G5 hurt his average.

A little surprised that the Worldwide Leader screwed that up.

Leading a 3peat while being the most dominant player in the league since MJ >>> Leading a 2peat

When you add everything in Im still going with Kobe. Shaq was the most dominate player but Kobe was puttin up big numbers during that 3peat. Kobe was puttin up 21, 29 and 26 during those playoff runs. The Laker records he holds, leading them to the finals 3 straight years and winning 2 of 'em. All of the clutch moments. Ima roll with that.

Best laker ever is such an obscure argument, how do you quantify it, do you go by peak performance or longevity. If you got by peak performance then it's.

Kareem
Shaq
Magic
Kobe
Logo

But if you go by body of work it's probably:

Magic
Kobe
Logo
Kareem
Shaq.

either way Kobe is still in the top 5.

but there is no logical argument that can be made for kobe being in the top 5 greatest players ever.

Why isn't Shaqs numbers up there for comparison?

Kobe 2000 finals

game 1: 14 points on 13 shots.

game 2: scored 2 points and played 9 minutes due to an injury

game 3: didn't play

game 4: This was the game when Kobe stepped up and hit some big shots in over time. Kobe played pretty good and this game and had 28 points on 51% shooting, but Shaq had 36 points and 21 rebounds.

game 5: scored 8 points on 4-20 shots (20 FG%)

game 6: 8-27 shooting (29 FG%)

Compare that to Shaq's performance in the 2000 Finals.

Shaq averaged 38 points, 17 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 assists on 61% shooting

Game 1: 43 points, 19 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks 67% shooting

Game 2: 40 points, 24 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks 61%shooting

Game 3: 33 points, 13 rebounds, 2 blocks 62% shooting

Game 4: 36 points, 21 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals 52% shooting

Game 5: 35 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals 63% shooting

Game 6: 41 points, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks 59% shooting

Shaq won Finals MVP carrying the Los Angeles Lakers to there first championship in 12 years.

It cracks me up how almost all Laker fans look for reasons to make Shaq worse and hate on him despite the fact that he made your team relevant again and led them to 3 championships.

^ I guess that list is only about great guards. I don't know any Laker fans that hate on Shaq. I know some like myself that wish him and had Kobe had put thier BS aside but I don't hear any that try to discredit what he did.
