Nooooooo!

The thing about cgi is that the charm is lost. There's a distinct feeling you get when you're looking at something real. The alien, predator, trex, heck even the ninja turtles all are classic because they were "real". Cgi doesn't hold the same power.

Same way I feel. I feel like a lot of big studios are getting lazy.Jurassic World could of at least brought that element into this movie a bit

I keep reading how people are disappointed with the cgi, could someone please point out to me the flaws that they see

I'm not worried about that, the movie isn't releasing next week... they have plenty of time to clean up some CGI.

I think people are setting their expectations too high for this.

Looks better than I thought it would. I've lost all faith in Hollywood. I'll check it out eventually.

Yeah, couldn't see that one working. I'm obviously always willing to suspend some disbelief for sci-fi movies, but that sounds too much, especially in line with the other films.

I think for most people the expectation is high cause its a movie no one asked for. Jurassic park is a classic and one of the GOAT. No one really feels like they need to see more, everything is in that one movie, and alittle bonus with the second. After the third people just accepted that its all over.

With that said, we are now getting a movie that has to live up the greatness that is the original. It be like making another Jaws movie or a new ET, these movies are so great they can just be left alone and everyone is happy with that.

The trailer had up until the raptors, I just don't know how I feel about it. Other than that I just hope we get massive body counts in this one that was a ton of people looking like lunch in the trailer

Yeah teaming up with Raptors ruins it for me.

It'd be one thing if we were made to believe they were just killing machines and nothing more. But it's been hammered over and over that they are highly intelligent. After a decade of existence (or however long this current park staff has been working with them), it's not crazy to think that someone like a Robert Muldoon would have some sort handle on them. If you recall in JP, Muldoon was downright terrified of them because they were still learning about them.

Trevorrow said the gate is CGI only in the trailer. It'll be real in the movie. That makes me think some of the gloss of the trailer won't be so glossy in the final product. Again, this is why you shouldn't complain about trailers six months before release. The movie isn't done yet.

I don't care how trained that raptor is I am not getting that close to one especially with my back towards it.

Agression Index: Very High

We set out to make Indominus the most fearsome dinosuar ever to be displayed at Jurassic world. The genetic engineers at our Hammond Creation Lab have more than delivered.

At first glance, Indominus most closely resembles a T-Rex, but its distinctive head ornamentation and ultra-tough bony osteoderms can be traced from Theropods known as Abeliosaurs. Indominus' horns have been placed above the eye orbit through genetic material hybridized from Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops, and Giganotosaurus. Fearsome indeed.

Indominus' roar is estimated to reach 140-160db - the same as a 747 taking off and landing. And it can reach speeds of 30 mph... while confined to its enclosure. Come experience Indominus Rex for yourself beginning this summer. If you dare.

I went back and re-read both books over the holidays. A couple of the things people are complaining about are either directly mentioned, or at the very least, a foundation is provided. In the first book, they briefly mention a plan to train the dinosaurs. Also, there was the baby raptor in the nursery. It was implied that they were attempting to train such a smart, but vicious animal starting from birth. Also, Henry Wu talks in the first book about killing off the current batch of dinosaurs and altering the DNA of the next batch to make them slower (among other things).

They made a lot of modifications to the animals over time, and it's explored in The Lost World a lot more when they find old files in the lab that describe Wu's plan to genetically alter and create "new" dinos. In a way, the existence of Jurassic Park doesn't really make a whole lot of sense without the story of The Lost World. The sequel really drives home what Hammond was doing, and the premise of Jurassic World doesn't seem nearly as crazy as people are making it out to be. I think it's a logical next step that Crichton would be happy with.

Again, the execution could be awful and the movie could suck. But the premise is fine.

The premise is MUCH better than "let's find a random kid that got lost" like they did with 3. The only real problem with this movie is that Jurassic park 1 was THAT good.
