I've heard from several guys that they will never date a lady that has had, or have a poor relationship with their dad. It's something that I've seen first hand...I've met women on both sides of the spectrum, and there is definitely a correlation between women that aren't on good terms with their fathers. This of course isn't to be confused with an Electra complex, and I'm trying to stay away from generalities, because there is an exception to every rule.
But I wanted to get NT's thoughts on this matter. Would you date a lady who have a poor relationship with her Dad? Why or why not?

Had a bad experience with this kinda chick so yeah, I'd rather not go through that again. Of course you just never know sometimes, it really depends on the person and what's going on in their heart and head.

Depends on the person and their strength of character whether they'll let that define them and fall into stereotypical traits. Plus, there's too much deadbeat bum *@* *@+%%# out there, i'd never get laid if i took that stance.

Everyone deserves a chance but if I had to do it again I probably wouldn't. It can be a headache if the girl is not stable.

...it all depends on what you can handle...but if you BOSS UP...then nothing would matter to them unless its about you "DADDY"...

the WORST. getting mad at the smallest $%@^, talking crazy, having unrealistic expectations of me etc. i learned my lesson as well.

My last gf of 3 years had a bad relationship with her father. He left before she turned 2. The only time they were in contact ever since was if she needed
forms signed (health insurance, etc). I would say there were some instances when we would get into it, or certain decisions were made, I could easily attribute
that to her not having a father. I guess it depends on the chick and what type of bad relationship she had with her father. Non-existent dads seems to have
a different effect than abusive dads (obviously, though not being there is a type of abuse too).

I guess if you think it'll be a problem, avoid it completely before you get attached. If you does see a problem, go right ahead, just keep your eyes open.

Every girl that I know that are in unstable relationships, or can't keep have had bad relationships with their fathers, or just weren't around.

It's crazy how everything trickles down to parents. We learn everything from them, what to be like, what not to be like. When a man doesn't have a father, he has to learn compassion and self respect for himself. And when a girl doesn't have a father, not only do they have to deal with the mother who is going through a considerable amount of stress, but they must learn from their environment what a true example of a man is.

It's not impossible to find a compatible woman with a bad father relationship, but it's hard.

Moral of the story fam: if you REALLY like her, go for it but be prepared for alot of behavior that is out of whack (don't take it personally). You will really have to love and care about her and help her through it. If its not that serious feelings-wise, I'd keep movin if I were you

women who were on bad terms with their dads are more likely to be sluts. a fathers duty is to make sure his daughter doesn't become a +$%#.
i'm weery of any girls who aren't on good terms with their fathers...

, I purposely left that part out..exactly what I was getting out.

Another thing, it's even more difficult if she grew up w/o a father, but you came from a stable 2 parent household. She just seriously may not
fathom certain obvious decisions you make based on how you were raised by your parents, whether they were/are the right ones or not. I guess
what it all boils down to is how compatible you two are yourselves, and what your plans are.
