Also met Vasquez at Cornerstone when I was at UMD. He was cool.. had a chick on his lap so I just dapped him up, "good game", and kept it moving

I know somebody that has a chance.   Hope dude makes it one day. 10 day contract at least.

Hung out with John Salmons for two days. I shot a video about his clothing company Salmons & Brown -

i played ball with Anthony Randolph at a 24hr fitness up in Frisco, Texas.
even though we only played 4 on 4 because it was close to midnight that night, i told the kid he would be something someday. I'm still waiting Mr. Anthony Randolph!

If you been in the College Basketball thread over the years you heard my stories from Duke and UConn.

Iman

Sherron (we were on the same little league baseball team as shorties)

and then just a few D-Leaguers/Overseas cats like Jake Pullen, Osiris Eldridge, Chris Singleton

My brother put 33 on Dahntay Jones head last year at a Pro-Am in the Chi... I know he can atleast make it to the D-League man, just all about who you know to get you there. He's a year older than me so I know he got a fighters chance. But he's a 6'0 PG who can't quite boom it yet, and isn't physically as big as the rest so the odds are stacked against him heavily. Still grinding tho

played against BJ Mullens and Tyreke Evans in high school.
also saw Jared Sullinger at the malls a couple times

went to the same JHS as Charlie V and played against him in High School (held him scoreless*). I went to college with his older brother. Interviewed CV and Rudy at UCONN for documentary I did in college with the aforementioned older brother.

* this while CV attended Newtown in Queens. Played a box and one against him and I was assigned to stay with him. He didn't shoot.

eric gordon, josh mcroberts, greg oden, mike conley, daequan cook, etwaun moore, shawn kemp, zach randolph, all Indiana Cats who I either played aau basketball with or against growing up... Shawn and I are from the same city and I live in the same sub-division as his mom. SK40 is by far the coolest cat I've ever met that was once a superstar, when I was like 8 he use to pick me up and take me to his basketball camp everyday because I lived so close to his mom. Dude is real to this day!!!

Ronnie Price for the suns. Went to the same college. Really nice dude. Wish he could learn how to shoot

We had a top 5 freshman in the country, Lebrent Walker, when i was a senior playing for Bayside (Queens) he has a chance to make it hopefully.

Played on the same middle school team as Lance Stephenson, Seth Low out here in Brooklyn. Dude was a beast since he was like 12. He was 6 foot 3 in the 7th grade -_- He was a funny guy, never picked on me but he would play pranks on people all the time.

Played pick up games with Sebastian Telfair while he was still in high school and I was in middle school in Coney Island, dude was quick and had some sick handles.

Same here with these 2 guys when i went to sheepshead bay, we hated Lincoln with a passion

I think some of you guys are straight fools for thinking you know some of these guys personally because you played some pickup with them. Even if it was organized ball, you know how many dudes they have played against to this point?

Even if you were on their team at some point, would they know your name if you walked up to them on the street?

That being said, no I don't know any NBA players, MA doesn't produce many. Have played against some D1 players though.

Thaddeus Young
Lou Williams
Lester Hudson
Arnett Moultrie
Brandan Wright
Tony Allen (met him a lot since he's been in Memphis and real cool)
Derrick Byars
Mo Speights

That's all I can think of right now. Penny Hardaway is another one. Some was in my graduation class and  teammates when I was 13-14. Some I personally know like Byars, Moultrie and Hudson. Some are just cool and I see them a lot, but we not like best friends or nothing.

And as for Penny, he lives next door to my best friend and I'm cool with his daughter.

Was in HS with Gary Neal, and he lived around my way that school year...he was jokes at the lunch table
laugh.gif
.... Went to HS with Kim English too

I see Donte Green alot when i go out in the summer time, usually at the same club too
laugh.gif
..but i also know him from the HS days

Basically met or hooped wit almost everybody from Baltimore in the league...but everybody knows each other somehow in this city tho

I know Jamal Crawford through my dad - He told which HS to go to

Went to school with Aaron Brooks, still chop it up with him when he comes home in the summer.

Grew up with Bernard James and his brothers. I used to murder that fool in Tekken 2. Whats crazy about Bernie is that he never played ball. His older brother Sherard was a beast of an athlete. It's just mad wild to see Bernie get drafted and see Sherard's career never pan out. Its inexplicable really. Bernie NEVER played basketball growing up. He didnt start hoopin until he joined the service. He's got tremendous upside because he really has only been playing the game for like 7 years. It's crazy. Bernie wasn't even an athlete of any sorts and now son is a NBA baller.
