Brahs, i'm going to Chicago for this upcoming week for 5 days.  Just wanted some chi heads to let me know the info on the city.

Right now as far as sightseeing I was gonna take a water taxi, cloud gate, grant park, take a pic next to Wrigley field, millennium park, Michigan ave., ride the train, and navy pier.

I have no clue when it comes to eats (looking for an ill pizza spot though so I can compare nyc vs. chi pizza)

Also I know the big ufc fight is during the weekend so does any brahs know of good places (bars) to watch it at?

Any advice is appreciated

There is a good pizza place downtown by the movie theater. I forget the name though. Millennium park is dope and the museum is there and that's dope too.

are you guys saying not to come because of the heat? Cuz I know it's gonna be dumb hot.

and Kmante...i'm befuddled by your response....do you want to me come with?

also I wanted to either go up to willis tower or the hancock observatory...are these a waste and/or which one is the better bet?

Naw man. I'm in town again and apparently there is paintball somewhere here, so she's taking me.

I guess that's something you can do on your own time

You'll be good man, I walked through there today with a Giants fitted on, lot of people got different gear on.  But i'll be damned the Chi is seriousss bout their Cubs all over the city.  Almost every store I went into today had cubs memorabilia or stickers on the windows.  Def hit up Lou Malnatis, pizza is the best, Portillos and get the Baked rigatoni with Vodka sauce, you will never have better pasta in your life. Make sure you get some Garrets popcorn, that is a MUST.   Flat Top is also pretty good for eats.  But don't worry about rocking any out of state gear, Chi-town folks are very decent unless you venture off into the wrong part of town, then it gets all bad.  But have a good time man and def hit up the Magnificent Mile for some of the best shopping in the country.  Then check out the Water Tower and their food court which is pretty good also.
Im going to my first Cub game at Wrigley tomorrow, girl bought me some tickets for my bday.

The Sports Authority on Clark ave.  has fitteds if you buy one official Cubs gear and get your other purchase 50% off.  Got 2 fitteds, one for regular 34.99 and the other fitted got knocked down to 17 and some change.

Can anyone give me some info in Wrigley Field? How much is beer and such? Me and the lady are sitting in the Infield Terrace Box I think, are those pretty good seats?

If you're going to Portillos, you have to get the Italian beef sandwich without a doubt

Lou Malnati's sucks though and I'm from Lincolnwood. Giordano's stuffed pizza is better. Stuffed > deep dish. Go to hot doug's and try the foie gras dog. Amazing.

You also might want to check out that Hot Dog joint they have on that reality show.. IF your order a chocolate shake girl in there will flash ya for like 5-10$. But damn they know how to market.

What do you think of Renaldis deep dish?  Had it last night for the first time and it was pretty good..  Going to Noodles and Company tomorrow.. my favorite

What up!
If you've never been to Chicago before definitely hit up Sears/Willis observation deck. Think about going at sunset or at night for better views.

If you want to do the hancock observatory I would suggest perhaps grabbing a drink or appetizer at Signature Room on 95th floor of Hancock. Same views but without the admission. Just chill for a

bit with a beer or cocktail.

Shops:

St Alfred

LDRS

Succezz

RSVP

Akira

Just go to Wicker Park. Damen stop off the Blue line and explore the area. Blue line Logan square stop is also a cool area. West loop has some new restaurants and clubs-- thats Randolph street across the river.

Food:

Malnati's pizza with the buttercrust is good.

Other options near Michigan ave are Uno and Due. Potential for long line, but pretty good. btw usually takes 30-40 min to get your pizza because its DEEP dish.

Pizanos has good thin crust.

Gino's east has the best thin crust bbq chicken pizza i've ever had.

forget the comparison of nyc pizza to chicago style. i personally think they should be different foods. The thin crust in chicago is usually cut into squares. just a heads up.

Other food:

Breakfast/Brunch

-Longman and Eagle- kinda hipster but delicious and $3 whiskey

-Ann Sather -- for the cinammon roles. This is a chicago staple.

- Nuevo Leon (18th and Ashland) for Mexican.

- Hot Doug's for unique hot dogs/encased meats

-Franks & Dawgz for the same experience.

- Butcher & Burger

- Billy Goat Tavern if you want the SNL experience.

-Garrets Popcorn

- Chicago Cut or Gibsons for a nice steak.

- Hema's Kitchen for indian

- hit me up if you have a specific meal in mind.

Maybe go to a cubs or Sox game one of them should be in town. Wrigley has a bunch of bars nearby. Just hop off red line at Addison and walk towards the stadium. you cant miss it.

not as much of a bar scene around The Cell but if you want to explore the Bridgeport neighborhood its near by.

Yo major props to everybody whose given advice I appreciate it.

Are there some things that I should just stay away from doing...i.e. beaches, certain touristy spots, etc?

Beaches...well the women are pretty top-notch, but there's a lot of scummy teenagers too. Oak Street is less of a party than North Ave beach, but also more low-key and fun, IMO.
