Ginos East Pizza > Life.

Crocodile Lounge is cool in Wicker...

If your going to be here on Thursday I say hit up Lincoln Park... spots like The Apartment, O'Malleys & Maxbar (spot everyone goes to cause it closes at 4am and its next to the other 2 spots I stated) And you can dress pretty casual, it's a bar/college crowd like scene

$1 mixed drinks... $2 burgers... Mad !#%%+% since It's practically on the DePaul Campus

Do you mind elaborating? Taxes? Apartment rental cost? I hear parking can be very expensive. But I also heard you don't need really need a car.

I don't think it's insanely expensive, especially relative to NYC and LA. I'd say in-line with SF, maybe a little cheaper .

Chicago is still a hub of transportation for farm goods, so I think most of our groceries are a little cheaper than other areas I've seen.

As for rent, you can pretty much pay what you want. It all depends on proximity to downtown and neighborhood safety. The rental market is en fuego right now, but I'd say Lakeview, for instance, has VERY reasonably priced areas. Parking is VERY expensive and the city will do whatever it can to give you a ticket, but if you live by the red/blue/brown lines I don't think a car is necessary at all.

My bad fam'... Lol

But yeah, it depends on where you want to live. I'm in the southloop/downtown area and I'm paying just over $1500 a month for rent for a 1 bed 1 bath+den and $150 a month for parking. I got lucky because I signed my lease while prices were low... The same units in my building are now $2000 a month.

Like buddy said, You can pay whatever you want... But when it comes to Chicago, You're paying for Location...not Size.
