Anybody else notice ESPN is giving soccer more love on Sportscenter? Not even saying this because they've been showing Ronaldo highlights from earlier all day but between the PL, Messi record, Messi awards, Ronaldo goals, Dempsey (Since he's american)..

About damn time they start showing soccer more love.

The football coverage usually ramps up a little this time of year...

Boy Swansea punched Chelsea in the gut yesterday didn't they?

AC Milan has got to be really disappointed getting eliminated in the Coppa Italia...Second year in a row right?

:wow: @ Ronaldo getting his 3rd hat trick of the season...Impressive...

First time winning at the bridge since 1925, the commentator said.

They were still Swansea Town back then.

Although both goals were on Ivanovic, Swansea wasted no opportunities. good W for them.

Ronaldo's first goal :x :x :x
His second goal :x I don't even know if he meant to do it. I just think he tried getting a touch on it and miss hit it really into the near post
Third goal was from and insanely sharp angle

Great performance by CR7

I give AC Milan about 1-2 years before they're elite again. The talent of that frontline with niang, El-Shaw and Bojan is nice. If only Robinho wasnt such a waste of talent.

I saw what the AC owner said about Balotelli being a rotten apple, but i still think he ends up at AC soon. If that happens...eek

Bojan is coming back to Roma after this season. Doubt we'll hold on to him for the price FCB wants. Regardless AC will have to pay a grip for him though.

Yeah Michu is destroying folks while playing around avg. players. Get him on a squad like Utd or Arsenal, he'll flourish even more

Cant believe people are arguing against Messi. Those people have never played soccer. Ive been watching and playing soccer since 1990 and he is the best Ive ever seen.

Yeah there are a ton of haters
It also comes from the american idea that you have to be the fastest and strongest to be the best. I bet Ronaldo beats Messi in a race and in the gym but once Messi gets the ball it all changes. Like they said on 60 Minutes, Messi might be the greatest athlete in the world right now. It is why people think RG3 is better than Shorty Wilson...oh oh i went there

Arsene Wenger is really starting to annoy me. We needed a LB last season, he paid almost 6 mil on Santos. Who? There are no other established LB's?! We needed a CB he went out and bought tall for nothing, Mertesacker. Now he says he'll only spend to improve the squad. Anyone to replace Gervinho and Ramsey is an automatic improvement. He acts like such a little beesh. Demba Ba clearly wanted Arsenal, Arsene failed to follow through (talks of agent fees, wage structure, blah) snatched up by Chelsea. Arsenal wanted Holtby, failed to follow through, snatched up by Spurs. Zaha wants Arsenal, Arsenal wants Zaha but are not following through. Soon to be snatched up by Man Utd (Because Theo will sign apparently) But what happened to depth. We go to out bench when we're stuck and all we have is Ramsey and Gervinho?! Who takes off Cazorla for Ramsey?! Argh!! This transfer period is so boring.

Why? Arsenal has Carzola.

and best believe, with a great finisher, Santi will shine. Arsenal's problem (besides defence) is that Giroud hasn't adjusted quickly enough

Santi Carzorla alone can't be our midfield. Him and Arteta don't mesh well.
Our midfield is weaker since Song left.

The combination of Theo playing CF, Giroud, Podolski, and goals from Santi don't make up for RVPs absence. So another scoring and distributing midfielder wouldn't hurt.

Maybe for depth. Great teams have great bench players.

True. But after the past 2 seasons Michu had, he's NOT going to want to sit on the bench. Niether will Carzola. Arteta in the middle. With Oxlade, and Theo (eventually shifting to the wing, he won't get that CF role if another striker comes) it will be hard to fit Michu in as a starter with Carzola.

Villa brace.. 1st goal was pretty nice.

Somehow Alexis scored 2.. missed on 3 or more breakaways. Rounded the keeper and fell down on one lol

Thiago is a beast with so much room to improve

1000

Yeah Alexis missed out on great opportunities haha

Barca is just a machine though.

So much weaker. I think they mesh rather well but the biggest issue is that Wilshere, Santi and Arteta are all offensively conscious so I think they are often burden with having to track back and defend, given that they all do. But it certainly takes a toll on our fluidity and plays at time. Yes, Jack does hold...but only recently has he been box-to-box. I would love to see him in the #10 role.
We looked great when Diaby was playing. He'll never be the Vieira replacement we hope, most likely will never reach his full potential. But he certainly does make a difference....for the few weeks that he is not injured  :smh:

I would like to see Santi pushed out wide, that's where he usually played for Malaga. Jack/OX centrally, hell even Ramsey centrally. Dude has never been confident out wide. A loan might do hime good. Someone on twitter was suggestion that it might be time to give Frimpong a chance in the first team. He's better than Coquelin. He said those two are why he didn't get a new CDM. Frimpong will probably go back on loan and Coquelin will continue to play here and there. Diaby needs to be replaced though.

I think what's more alarming is that Giroud is injured and won't be fit for Sunday. I'm not sure when he'll be fit. No Gervinho or Chamakh. We'll probably have Akpom from our reserves, I don't deny his talents but :rolleyes

Rumor is that we're going after Remy :D
