Diaby needs to be replaced though.
He needs to retire. I've read a couple medical articles on his "bio-mechanical" issue and it's sort of surprising that he was even able to walk normally again. It actually makes me legitimately sad because I think he's a potential world-class talent.

Even if he never gets healthy enough to play another string of games, one of his last appearances ever was putting on a show at Anfield. Respect!

I think, and just my opinion, Arteta reverses forward progress down the field. When there's a semi-break, or run being made, he won't see it, or make the pass because he would rather turn with ball towards our own goal instead of turning on it (like wilshere and cazorla). And it annoys me. I slows us down and we miss runs, especially on the left, he likes passing to sagna and mertesacker. Because apparently those are striker/wingers. :smh: Dont get me wrong, I like Arteta, But I just don't think we are efficient as a whole team.

In respect to your opinion....Arteta is a deep-lying playmaker so at times it is up to him to slow down the game, which does include passing back. Our style is to slow build up from the back. I'm aware of mistakes that he has made but I can't think of anything off the top of my head in reference to your post, mistake wise. 50% of our attacking comes from the right. 25% in the center and 25% on left. Which is no real surprise. He plays on the right, Walcott and Sanga are class, working the wing and all. But for the opposition it's simply, cut Arteta off and it works. Interfere with the supply and things start to fall apart. That's probably one reason for the back passing and missed runs...among others. That also points to lack of depth. I mean, we all know that we lack...get to it AW :smh:

Diaby puts on a show and his potential was immense. I didn't know the extent of his injury, in terms of it being surprised that he could walk. I assume that he wouldn't be cleared to play if it was that threatening. Something that I'll have to look into. But I remember reading how Diaby had a personal training during some of the times he was injured and expressed that was more effective than the medical/training staff at the club. Many fans have questioned their capabilities in the past with players not being able to stay healthy.

There's talk of Sahin leaving Liverpool back to Dortmund.

Not sure how true it is, but that's definitely a blow for LFC, since they're already short of players.

Do you know if Giroud will play or is he still injured?

"Giroud's not a 100% available at the moment" Whatever that means. Diaby has been set back 3 weeks for 3 months  So, in Giroud's case, I'm not even sure myself, will probably come off the bench.

The fans have to be really happy about bringing him back. Surely Klopp knows something Mourinho and Rogers dont and he'll get him back to his best. Who knows maybe they could just get back into the title race now. I wonder who will drops out of their midfield though? Gundogan? Either way it should be interesting.

If only there was as much excitement for Chamakh's signing over in East London.....

Thats good news for BVB seeing Shaktar just signed Chelsea target taison earlier today. That frontline for Shaktar is gonna be deadly.

Heard taison wasn't sold to Chelsea because his owner hates roman haha
