I remember putting on shows in front of my house when I was a kid. Those days are gone.

cambria heights, nyc...bbq was solid. as for the fireworks, cops hit us up 3x...patrolling hard this year. 1 citation. munitions were on deck, but police were keepin a hard eye out so the show wasn't as poppin as it usually is...o well. in bed now cuz i decided to work 2mrw.
 
i was just telling wifey about this today.... the late 80s to mid nineties was heaven in NYC on the 4th of july.

i remember the drug dealers use to come through with garbage bags of firreworks and just toss them on the ave... little kids going ham for M80s and blockbusters, lol....

im in MASSACHUSSETS right now but they got it popping in the little hood im in ...

im older now so i dont wanna hear all that noise at midnight...

i remember hearing fireworks for 3 weeks straight in the 90s lol

Yep. Cops caught dudes down the street with mad fireworks in the trunk of their car. Not even 100 fr away dudes were still getting it crackin

i remember on my block kid capri ( Dj ) would do a show every year. tons of fireworks and after it was over he would hook up the turntables and go all night.

rappers used to come thru , i remember big daddy kane comin thru one time, it was like royalty was there

Yeah I've been feelin the same way about 4th of July. I guess you just grow out of it with time. Sucks to be a grown up at times.
