Exactly. If you look at the cap hits over the last 3 years of his deal, those numbers are obviously outlandish:

http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/joe-flacco/

Baltimore will restructure his deal in 2016, you see this a lot with those big contracts. Someone posted a quote that of all the $100+ million contracts that have been given out, the most any player has actually received is $58 million (Favre). Flacco's guaranteed is somewhere around that so. yeah.

So yeah, it's all for show. His agent just wanted to be able to say that his client is the "highest paid player in NFL history" and rustle people's jimmies.

 padding numbers

Flacco would have been better off taken the high road and taking "less" money for the sake of the team.

Percival :pimp:

700

This dude Michael Bennett is asking for 12 mill a year....if anyone gives him that much money they need to fire themself.

Sad day. Percy was my dude. Oh well...Team before player and they still got the MVP.

Best case scenario is Minnesota hits it big with their two first rounders and things keep moving in the right direction...It just had to be Seattle though. :smh:

ATLANTA

YOUR MOVE

:nerd:

please.

Only moves I can see us making are through some signings and the draft. I think Tony G, Osi, and S-Jax will be some moves ATL makes . There's just the matter of re-signing Grimes and Baker. Plus going the defensive route in the draft next month :nerd:

Greg Toler re-signs with Cardinals for 3 years.

Bucs and Lions are favorites to land Dashon Goldson.

Talks between Bucs and Derek Cox heating up.

Jets have "good offer" on table for Revis.

And now the reports are Harvin's deal is not anywhere close to Megatron or Fitz.....

DUH....he just didnt want to play with Ponder's bum ***.

I don't know about Cox and Goldson, Goldson is a hard hitter but couldn't cover in the few niner games I saw. Cox is an injury waiting to happen

I love Goldson....but he's basically a clone of Mark Barron so I don't really know how we plan on playing the two together. Derek Cox doesn't really excite me at all...I mean, he's better than what we got but that's not saying much. And I don't really want anybody who's gonna be off and on injured every other game.

I just want Revis and Grimes.

we shall see which of these "reporters" is right but even 12 million for Harvin is a stretch IMO. Looking more and more like he just strong armed his way out of Minny and Speilman played it well by not losing his leverage and getting a first for a player that was gonna bolt anyway.

I agree. It was probably inevitable so the fact that Spielman got the 23rd overall pick out of it is good with me.

Bennett also said he's going up give the Bucs a chance to match any offer. Watch what the same thing that happen to Landry fields happen to him, where a team tried to drive up the price then get stuck with him.

$12 Million/year?
Essentially...
"Despite a report that Harvin wants to be paid in the range of Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald and Lions receiver Calvin Johnson, both of those players are in the range of $16 million. Per the source, Harvin’s deal won’t be close.

In reality, Harvin’s deal will be more in line with the current one-up high-jump that began last year with Bucs receiver Vincent Jackson with five years, $55.5 million, and which was extended by Chiefs wideout Dwayne Bowe and his five-year, $56 million deal."

def. agree on getting that first.

everything I read it was 'impossible' for Minn to get anything more than a 2nd for 'em.. Spielman's got it done. :pimp:

Still man, this one hurts. Dude was so fun to watch, just need to draft real well this draft and build towards the future. Blows for AD.. got NO help right now. :smh:
