I don't know what exactly to believe, but benching RGIII at this point makes sense to me.

I don't buy it. I don't care what the outcome of the season is, dude needs as many in-game reps as possible.

Dude is lying through his teeth. He's lost the team and quit on them. It's a shame what it's come down to.

I see where you're coming from. Before the season, I felt that RGIII would struggle this year and go on a mini tear to end the year that would set the stage for next year as his confidence would be back in full swing.

I can also see the other side though... RGIII being thrown around week to week and his passing isn't progressing. You can also help your cause by taking a step back and working on things that you need to improve upon without the stress of having to prepare for another defense and an entire gameplan. In this case...Re-discover his mechanics and build that confidence back, albeit slowly.

I don't think there's just one way here. The main hope is that the Skins get a new coach in Washington that buys-in to RGIII and is his ally. Then this entire year will be washed away, like I think it will be in the long-term for Robert.

Shanny is a scumbag. It's a load of **** that hes sitting RG3 for health reasons. He just wants to do one last EFF YOU to the kid before he leaves. Now that being said, RG3 is no angel. Look at the way he acts thinking he runs the team. That probably pissed Shanny off to no end. You cant come in as a 22 year old trying to think you run the team. EARN IT and you will get it. They are both to blame here.

This reminds me of a bad bad breakup and both people from each side are trying to say **** you in their actions one last time.

With that being said, hopefully RG3 learns from this and improves his character and on field play. Because if he doesnt, the Rojoskins are going to be set back 5-7 years.

Even if that were true he'd just be following the example being set by his coach and his owner.....

True, but RG3 has always been a self centered type of person. He def is a hard worker no doubting that, he just cares more about himself and how he looks then how the actual team is doing, but the ******** as a whole are just awful, and it starts with coaches also has a lot to do with the fact that RG3 doesnt know how to run a true professional offense and read coverages and check out of plays... like pierre garcon said "if you suck at passing...you suck at passing" Also dont get me started on the "operation patience" shirt

I'm starting to think this season is the real NFL RG3 and not last season's RG3

D Coordinators have adjusted and take away his legs and he's really got nothing and now that will be the game plan until he proves he can beat you without running

Its somewhere in between he didn't have a training camp last year, when healthy he's a good player i just don't think he will last because he takes too many hits.

And here goes NT speaking as if they know RG3 personally, but in reality only know what the media has giving them. Next 10 post will be "you know what dog, matterafact, he is selfish."

[Coach Ditka]stop it!

I wouldn't call it selfish but he's definitely a diva.

shannan is a straight clown for this. Stop pussyfooting around and say you wanna see what cousin can do. Man up and say it, straight sucka. He damn well knew 5 games into this season RG wasn't the same player from last year, shut him down then. Don't wait until the whispers start creeping and you scared for your job to sit the kid. Sitting in front of a tv as a football fan I knew he wasn't the same 3 games in. Mike and his son won't be gone fast enough in DC. Standing in front of the camera lying through his teeth like a politician.

I'm still adamant that RGIII will be successful. Just needs to regain his confidence/rhythm. Take less hits, of course, but he can throw so he just needs to tweak his approach a bit.

It's hard to be agood QB when your right tackle let's people on the backfield all game.

This year has been a disaster no question. And not having a secondary or oline didn't help. People point the finger but it's a lot of reasons this season ended up how it did.

What I'm more concerned about is after Shanahan is fired, who's going to coach?

So if Cousins goes in and plays well then what is the excuse going to be?

I don't think you have any evidence for that belief other than the media making mountains out of molehills and turning RG3 into the villain now that Cam started winning.

Your bro Luck is white so luckily he's exempt from being built up into an evil character when he/his team is struggling.

First, they aren't excuses they are facts.

And trust me Cousins is not going to do anything.

How can he? There is no pocket. No question Robert has to get better at going through his reads, which I think is his biggest flaw. But those 25 sacks in 4 games aren't BS. The line is that bad.

I don't see how cousins will do any better.

Humble pie for me. I picked Skins to win the division. Saw 10-6 or 11-5 honestly. Thought Kerrigan, Orakpo, Hall was enough to keep the defense in the middle of the pack.

Really they have no safeties, no depth on the dline, Kerrigan is great, Orakpo is often hurt and Deanglo Hall is toast

so his shirt didnt say "operation patience" on it? It has nothing to do with Cam at all, Cam is a beast and has the ability to adjust to defensive fronts, RG3 doesn't. It honestly has nothing to do with black or white either, jay cutler is a selfish ***** as well and he is white. Your boy Wilson is black (or navajo indian, afghan, peurto rican, hoenstly i have no idea what the **** he is) but he is a straight up team player, no selfish bone in that kids body. So white or black it really doesnt matter...

Well just to step aside from the race debate, since we already had that in this thread. I also think Jay Cutler gets a bad rap. His teammates seem to really like him, he suffers from a ridiculous media double standard because they decided to get on him for some reason. In retrospect does anyone believe ESPN calling him "soft" for sitting out a playoff game with a serious injury was fair? And then when RG3 plays they blame him for doing the opposite

Some guys just can't win, sounds to me like you just are buying whatever narrative the media is giving. They have to make some QBs villains to have something to talk about on around the horn the next day.

Is this fool crazy?

"He's pretty old, so I don't know how physical he'll be,'' Elam said. "He's a big guy, but he's older. I guess when they get older they're not going to be as physical, you know what I'm saying? We're going to have to be physical, make him uncomfortable.''

Rookie Matt Elam, speaking on Calvin Johnson.

Good luck Monday Matt.
