Walking in front of the Seahawks team store after the Mariners game today:

Guy: "Gooo Seahawks"
Me: "No! Gooo Vikings! Oh, how's Percy working out?"
Guy: "Yeah, you got us with that one." - With a sad and pathetic demeanor

Love Russell Wilson, but the moral of the story is offseason champs aren't champs. Sit yo *** down, Seattle fans. Drawing too much attention to yourselves...Too annoying.

we were super favorites before Harvin even came. that was just icing on the cake.
Nobody is even sure yet whats going on. dude was just practicing at full speed with this same injury

Super favorites? There's no such thing. Just because the belief was strong in Seattle doesn't = super favorites for everyone involved. Look, I stood up for them where I felt they were being discredited, but the hype has superceded itself to become more of an irritant. First time the potential is strong around here, people wanna equate that with being the undisputed champ already. It's foolish. Never been how it works.

The stress is getting too tough for you it worries me.

So a conversation that you can only validate is your example of putting the fan base in check

Sit yo *** down

I'm certainly not cocky. We have a lot we're gonna have to overcome if we're going to win anything.

That said, I'm excited as hell to see this team take the field. Hearing Harvin got injured I was less worried about our competitiveness and more worried I wouldn't get to see him and Russ on the field together this year.

How the **** your agent doesnt stay up on contracts and have you missing out on millions and ****? :smh: :x ...i woulda had to put the paws on my agent if i lost two milly just for not showing up to some workouts

Dont see the big deal

Every sports city has those types

Without a doubt every sports town has those people.

After week one if the Browns are 1-0 people will be calling in for SB tickets
they stay 0-1 people want to turn the stadium to a parking lot.

DAMN!!

The agent lucky he only got fired
I am actually surprised/proud of how well Tarell has handled this situation.  He has been fairly level headed about all of this.  If it were me, I would get myself in trouble.  While I think Brown should have been more familiar with his own contract, its the agents job to be aware of things like this.  He will likely get sued.

I also think this is a great opportunity for the 49ers to show some goodwill here and hook Brown up.  Granted, its not at all their fault, but its a chance to demonstrate that our organization takes care of its players.  Would help the organization in the long run to help Brown out rather than just take the "oh well" approach.

i can literally picture his reaction after "Oh, how's Percy working out?". spot on what you said. champs are not crowned is the offseason or on paper.

Live in Washington State. I have for most my life. Mariners are just something that grew on me over the years. Being over here, it's not like I can turn on the TV or radio and see Minnesota. It was always Seattle. Since baseball is the summertime, I'm out a lot, so I became accustomed to Dave Niehaus and Rick Rizzs calling the games when I was out camping or having a BBQ. I'd always love to catch some games at Safeco just for the simple fact of loving baseball until it started donning on me that I was an M's fan.

It wasnt wrong though.
he wasnt wrong at all..

but i think everyone can agree 9ers fan have been just as bad as seahawks fans this offseason...

justsaying...

Because a person in Seattle, in front of the team store said go seahawks? omg, what arrogance.

But for real, ya'll are wrong. It's just the backlash like it is with every good team/up and coming team.
Increased media attention, fans have something to talk about, the bad apple fans (MMG, DWS, peep game) really ramp it up and then people start to dislike it.

Well, it wasn't that. I was just firing back with friendly combativeness and it was just funny how he probably didn't expect a Vikings fan to be as boisterous as I was and to hit him the Percy comment, he was just kinda shocked. I don't know...

But I will agree that it's not specific to Seattle. It's just that I live here and hear it so much and especially from bandwagoners.
