What?! Not cut out for TV, Ray. Made no damn sense.

"I remember playing there when I was with the Raiders, and one thing....I was playing in Atlanta, it was like playing in Beverly Hills."

Talking about a biscuit in the bucket or some ****.

Golly.

Alright people, listen to this, if you down there in Oakland, I'm telling you this, right now, it's like being in Section 8. It's not no fun, it takes the life out of you."

That ol' "Teacher called on me and I didn't read the book so I'm just gonna ramble" answer

I guess I'm the only one who remembers Reche Caldwell in the 06 afc championship game.
Never forget.

The '07 loss to the Giants hurt more but this **** was downright inexcusable. A choke job for the ages.

its 35-4 now  .....only thing thats still keeping me wathcing is players i know from college or short stints in the nfl keep popping up

I may be in the minority, but i KINDA SORTA THINK i understood what Ray was trying to say. :nerd:

I THINK he meant after you play in Oakland going anywhere else (Atlanta) seems like you are in Beverly Hills.
If that is indeed what he meant, then it is very true.

Its funny tho, he basically called the whole city of Oakland Section 8...thats as disrespectful as it gets even if its true

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks allegedly assaulted teammate Lamar Divens three times in the head with a beer bottle and then punched him in the face after an argument, according to a San Jose Mercury News report.

A warrant for Brooks’ arrest has been put on hold as the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office has yet to determine whether to charge Brooks for assault. According to court documents, Divens required three stitches after Brooks attacked him with a beer bottle. At the time, Divens wanted to press charges against his 49ers teammate but has since changed his mind.

“Divens said this would be bad for both of their careers and that he just wanted to keep playing and that they had resolved it,” according to the documents.

The alleged attack on Divens was reportedly witnessed by two other unnamed 49ers teammates with one of the teammates giving a recorded statement to police. The unnamed witness claimed Drivens drove Brooks home because Brooks was too intoxicated to drive after a night out in San Jose.

Santa Clara Judge Sharon Chatman signed a warrant for Brooks’ arrest on a felony assault with great bodily injury charge but the Santa Clara District Attorney office took a “rare” step by intervening in the case. The Santa Clara County District Attorney’s office is considered to be the “toughest” on crime in the Bay Area and the hesitation in this case is “unusual.”

Brooks, 29, signed a six-year contract extension last year worth $44.5 million with $17.5 million guaranteed. The 49ers will open a new $1.2 billion stadium in Santa Clara in 2014.

Amateur Hour. Hernandez would have at least shot the dude

The Oakland Raiders just cannot quit JaMarcus Russell. The former Raiders QB, who is attempting a comeback after three seasons out of the NFL, will receive $3 million from Oakland in a settlement reached regarding Russell’s rookie contract.

Both sides filed grievances after Russell was released in 2010 — the Raiders trying to recoup $9.55 million from Russell; Russell attempting to receive $9 million more on top of the $36.4 million he had made while with Oakland. This settlement wraps up that back-and-forth.

The development adds another footnote to Russell’s place as one of the NFL draft’s all-time busts. The Raiders took Russell No. 1 overall in 2007, but he posted just a 7-18 record as the team’s starter, with 23 interceptions and just 18 touchdowns. He also ballooned up to more than 300 pounds with the Raiders, who cut him loose following a 5-11 season in 2009.

According to police, Brooks hit teammate Lamar Divens with the bottle three times and then punched him in the face during an early morning argument on June 8. The alleged attack left Divens with a 3-inch cut on his forehead, according to police statements accompanying the warrant application.

Brooks, Divens and others had been drinking and went to a bar before returning to Brooks' house. Divens pretended to throw Brooks' keys in the grass, though he had actually held onto the keys, prompting the attack, according to the statements.

Investigators were told Brooks was intoxicated and had threatened to get a gun, according to the statements.
