dmx,

seeing as how both our teams are headed for NFL.com's "Greatest Uni of All Time" final match, wanted to say good luck, but I don't think the Steelers should win (not that they won't or can't). After you guys changed from block numbering to that terrible typeface, it took away your claim for best NFL uniform.

Two legendary franchises and iconic symbols/unis. But you are so right about the change in number font

Quick Question. Is everyone's Top WR still go 1. Calvin Johnson 2. Larry Fitz/Andre Johnson 3.Larry Fitz/Andre Johnson, are have some of the younger WRs passed them? AJ Green, Dez Bryant, or Julio?

Eli's elite defenses? Yeah they turned their pass rush on during both runs, but lets not act like Eli didn't throw 15td 2int and 2073yd in those 8 game.
the last superbowl run the giants defense averaged 14 ppg, thatll make them the #1 defense if it was thru 16 games...they held the packers, niners ,falcons and patriots all under 21 pts, all very prolific offenses...rodgers on his mvp year tearing it up...

  Dog you are truly delusional...

aint nothing dilusional bout facts...you take eli's best year and it looks like one of romos average years...

facts only

Romo gets his stats up during a bunch of losses in Q4.

He's like Carson Palmer that way.

The Boys are annually 8-8 so spare me the Romo doesn't stat pad, etc etc. We've all seen him in action, people literally predict his turnovers by the drive.

What facts you have to support that?

Romo only had 6 tds and 900 yards when trailing by 8 plus points last season

All facts

Romo is second in the NFL in fourth quarter comeback wins since 2011. He's led 9 game winning drives since 11. 3rd behind Eli and Ryan

Romo and the Cowboys led the NFL in fourth quarter comebacks in 2012. Romo is 6th among active QB's in comeback wins with 19

And those aren't just wins from games that were tied with a go-ahead score. 18 of those 19 wins were from behind.

Romo has the HIGHEST fourth quarter Quarterback ranking among active QB's. Playoffs included

Romo has thrown for 300 yards 40 times and has 48 games with a QB rating over 100.00. His 7.94 yards per attempt is 7th in NFL history

Romo has had 7 straight seasons with a 90+ QB rating. Only Peyton Manning and Steve Young have ever done that.

The ONE season Romo had a top 10 defense he won a playoff game. Romo is the only QB n NFL history to beat 2 undefeated teams (7-0 or better)

The only reason the Cowboys were in playoff contention in Week 17 was a league-high five comeback wins in the fourth quarter in 2012.

Romo had two interceptions last season when ahead or behind by 7 points in the fourth quarter last season

Only had two in 2011 also.

What saves Eli is that whenever he's done chucking those 3 picks in the first 3 quarters he gets hot and leads a "great" comeback.

And whenever the giants do make the playoffs, his defense cooks and and he doesn't make mistakes.
but why is that taken as good offense?? why does that make him elite?

dudes talk of eli like he does that 16 games 4 quarters..

If you take Eli's stats from that same year  and changed it for 16 games he would have 36tds,4876yds 4ints. I understand there is no way we win with our defense stepping up but Eli had a huge part in each run. Thats not even mention the Eli had to work with the DEAD LAST rushing attack that year.

I can't think of many Super Bowl Winning teams who's defenses didn't "cook" in the playoffs.

ill give you that, rushing game was suspect..

but personally, id say the d line was more impressive than eli both rings..

they made plays in the backfield and more importantly they controlled games...

CJ, andre, & fitz still round out my top 3... i have green, dez, & julio right there behind them in rankings, but imo they haven't passed them up yet. i do expect to see all of them have big seasons this year & make the rankings real interesting though

I'm not even a Romo hater... I think he's a good QB. But I don't care what the stats are- Eli and Flacco both won Super Bowls and though they were team efforts both gave heroic playoff efforts along the way. Romo has won nothing... So why would you talk down to Flacco when your QB has been worse when it matters?

In the 14 games that Romo has had a QB rating below 67 his record is 2-12 14% winning percentage. In the 38(!!!!!!!) games that Eli has had a rating below 67 his record is 14-24 for a 37% win percentage. In the 13 games that Matt Ryan has a had a a 67 or below qb rating his record is 6-7 46% win percentage.

Football is a team sport, when Romo plays bad his team losses over 85 percent of the time, when Eli and Matt play bad there teams losses only 63 and 52 percent of the time. That's the Giants and Falcons bailing them out, Romo doesn't have that luxury.

Give Romo the teams that those dudes have and he already has a ring.

According to the facts Romo has 2.4 bad games a season, Jay Cutler has 4.0, Eli has 4.5 and Vick has 5. But people say Romo is always good for two bad games a season.. and they're right but Eli, Ryan, Vick, Brees, and Big Ben are all good for more bad games a season.

Now consider this hypothetical scenario: If Romo had Ryan's win percentage of .470 in poor games, his record would change from 2-12 to 7-7. Similarly, if Romo had Ryan's .970 win percentage in 100+ rating games, his record in those games would rocket from 37-11 to 47-1. That 15-game swing would give Romo a career record of 70-23 instead of the current 55-38. Think about that. That's the player Romo could be - with the right team around him

fitzy put up horrible numbers last year (although he had no one to get him the ball). i think he dropped from the top 3. a lot of up and comers though are around the corner. aj, dez, julio, thomas, cruz, wallace, etc.

I'd hesitate to put Wallace with some of those other names . AJ v Julio is a great one to watch to move into that top 3 territory

Agree. But at the same time when Green Bay won their Super Bowl in 2010 they had 18 sacks in those 4 games.

The Giants had 12 sacks in their 4 games in 2011. I know that doesn't account for hurries, but it still shows that most SB winning teams have their defenses step up.

For 1 playoff win.

You right, Romo is tremendous, we should all be so lucky to have Romo so we can go 8-8 every year too.
