I mean Cam and Russell both have been balling. I don't think your examples made a ton of sense.
No one would rather have someone who can only run vs. someone who can only throw. But I'd rather have Cam, Russell, Kaep, or RG3 than Nick Foles. Mobility is an important skill. It's one of the reasons Andrew Luck is so good too. None of these guys were ever pure runners, the reason people get excited about them is because they have the full package.
Michael Vick was never a good passer.

dont think we are nec disagreeing
im not saying that being able to run isnt a valuable trait for a QB , but history tells us that unless you can do work from the pocket , read defenses , and run a passing offense that isn't predicated on the option read , you're going to get figured out and neutralized . Cam and Russell have been balling , and Ruseell may prove to be one of the few exceptions to the rule . Cam can definitely do work from the pocket though
