Jaws is on fire lately. Although, I really think Eddie Lacy will make a significantly better all-around offense. I was pissed when they got him.

I agree with you. Doesn't bother me that the Pack got him, but he will for sure have an impact. That will wind up being a great pick.
NFL

14-Day NFL Warning: The Eagles Are Insane
What's that? You were wondering exactly how many days until the start of the NFL season? Well, you're in luck! We here at the Triangle are set to spend the next few weeks providing a daily reason to get excited about pro football's return.

Two weeks! Two weeks. Somehow we've made it this far, and after swimming through an ocean of despair all summer long, professional football starts in just two weeks. The shore is officially in sight. Mays is busy today, so I'm taking over the Warning series for the afternoon. We need to talk about the Eagles.

It's hard to get all that excited about anything during the preseason. The games mean nothing. The players don't want to talk. The coaches speak in a special kind of clichéd gibberish that makes everyone dumber. And then most of the media updates from training camp look something like this:http://

CRAZY TIMES, you guys.

But all month long the Eagles have been a glaring exception. Chris Ryan and I have spent the month trading Eagles tweets back and forth, just soaking in the madness of whatever the hell is happening with this team.

Some examples:

1.

2.

3.

4.

5.

6.

7.

8.

SUPERSONIC, Y'ALL.

If you read enough about the Eagles, people make them sound like the Hyperloop of the NFL. Whether Coach Elon Musk fails or succeeds, you get the feeling it's gonna be spectacular, what with Pirates of the Caribbean, running back leashes, gibberish press conferences, and so much more. It's not even September and he's already pissing people off. From the Wall Street Journal: "As Kelly mans his first full week of NFL training camp, installing a high-revving Ferrari engine into the Eagles' offense, league insiders say there are exactly zero indications NFL referees will be willing participants in the Kelly era."

It's going to be so much fun. Other things to keep in mind with the Eagles:

• Their defense should be pretty horrendous, which means the offense is going to have be extra great to keep this team decent.

• Michael Vick hasn't played a full 16 games since 2006.

• I'm pretty sure 30 percent of the team tore their ACLs in the last three weeks.

• Riley Cooper!

Vick and Cooper are the Murtaugh and Riggs of our time. E-A-G-L-E-S.

Expectations are actually pretty high for this team, specifically for Chip Kelly's offense, which should be fun regardless of what happens.

If it works ... then the Eagles should be one of the most entertaining teams in football this year. You'd have a rejuvenated Michael Vick, DeSean Jackson tearing defenses to shreds, and then LeSean McCoy doing evil LeSean McCoy things.

The Eagles offense should've been great last year. There's just too much speed and talent for them not to explode on people. Throw in an offensive mastermind to drive defenses insane, and it should be pretty outrageous. There's no such thing as too many ridiculous offenses in the NFL, so if it all comes to fruition, it'll be hard not to love watching the Eagles every week, if only to see what cracked-out concepts Chip Kelly throws together during every trip to the red zone.

If it doesn't work... well, Chip Kelly has spent the entire preseason giving vague press conferences full of #Chipisms, dancing around questions about his methodology, adding extra practices to the weekly schedule, and generally acting like the coaching mastermind that everyone assumes he is. If this doesn't work, things could get especially disastrous. There's the hopeless defense, the injury-prone quarterback, the receiving corps that's basically DeSean Jackson and anyone else they could find ... this team could be awful. We love Chip Kelly for carrying himself like the Wawa Nation Bill Belichick, building an offense that's set to run on methamphetamines, and potentially starting a war with NFL refs. But this is a fan base and media that'll turn on Chip SO QUICKLY the second things start going in the wrong direction. It'll be supersonic, even.

Either way: In a league where 80 percent of the teams are interchangeable, the Eagles are one-of-a-kind. I can't wait for the regular season to start just so I can gawk at whatever the hell happens with this team. You may not understand what the plan is, but you don't need to. Chip's in charge!
One way or another, it's gonna be fun.

lets say the Eagles have this high flying offense, that is no huddle, and quick scoring. How is that already questionably defense going to keep up?

it's not really high flying.. are we going to use no huddle, yes.. are there going be times during the game that we use a very fast tempo, yes..

but chip is just trying to get the defense to show their cards by using very simple football principals.. when a team sees 2 TEs sets with a FB, they are going go heavy because they are expecting the offensive team to run.. if they go 3 wideouts, then the defensive team is going to go nickel and bring in an extra DB

what chip and eagles want to do.. is have our 2 TEs and FB/H-back be: celek/ertz and casey.. and then our RB is mccoy.. soo all of those guys can be very viable options in the passing game

the safeties will be forced to stay honest because 1 of the 2 WRs who will be on the field in that formation is desean

so if the defense goes nickel trying to cover the possibility of those guys going out passing routes, the eagles then just run (since that is a power running formation).. if the defense stays standard or goes heavy to load up for the run, then the eagles send those guys out

defense is going be a work in progress.. and is going be pretty bad to start out the season.. i mean i hope i'm wrong, but it's going take a while for everyone to get adjusted to the new scheme

i mean i hope some 4-3 team offers us something for trent cole and graham, because those guys are going look like fishes out of water

but i our secondary should be improved over the last 2 seasons if guys can just tackle.. and when the lights go on for certain guys (like cox), we'll start to improve throughout the season

So something like New england's offense is what they are aiming for? (multiple TE's, fast paced)

With more running.. New England played to their strengths, Tom Brady and creating mismatches with those two TEs

Our advantage comes with McCoy and desean WITH viable options in celek/ertz/casey (whoever the 2nd WR or if another TE is on the field just has to be an option).. That's where avant/harbor/other guys).. And Vick's running ability

Just having numerous options whether running or passing

Really, really excited to see St. Louis play this year.

Givens, Austin, Bailey, Cook on that turf, with Richardson in the backfield. :smokin

It may not all gel this year, but at least going forward as the youngsters grow I look very much forward to what they can become.

Need Bradford to step up and get them the ball on time. If that happens, a new version of greatest show on turf could be upon us soon.

I honestly think the eagles will be better than people expect. Maybe even 2nd in the division right under the ********.
