Da'rick mighta been most NFL ready WR from Tenn skillset wise... Unbelievable what some of these kids do to their own future.

Hilton, Brazill and Da'rick were all guys I loved coming into their respective drafts and now they're all on one roster with Luck as their Q. That's some scouting right there.

Trent Richardson was more shocked than anyone about his trade to the Indianapolis Colts. On his first day in a Colts uniform, the running back wanted to send a message to the Cleveland Browns fans that are similarly stunned.

"Keep rooting for the Browns," he told them. "Don't give up on them. ... It's going to happen. It's going to be big too. They got a program that's going in the right direction. But like I said, I'm here starting a new chapter in my life."

It's a cool, classy sentiment. But Richardson understands he's joined a better team, even if the trade makes some sense for the Browns. He noted the positivity in the Colts locker room and the attitude around the organization. He suddenly has a true franchise quarterback to play with. In Cleveland, the Browns are still searching.

"We are going to be here for a while," Richardson said about him and Andrew Luck. "We are not planning on going nowhere. We are planning to win a lot of games."

And later: "People can't just stack nine in the box no more. If you stack nine in the box, Andrew's got an arm for you."

Richardson said he wants to be a guy that "puts the team on his shoulders," but he won't have to in Indianapolis. Luck, Reggie Wayne, T.Y. Hilton, Ahmad Bradshaw, and Coby Fleener will help him make the Colts offense dangerous every week. And Richardson has extra motivation after getting traded away so early in his career.

"I'm going to have a chip on my shoulder. And I'm going to play football how I know how to play football," he said.

Colts coach Chuck Pagano said Richardson will touch the ball plenty in his first game as a Colts player Sunday in San Francisco. Richardson said that news was "music to my ears."

Once the initial shock wore off, Richardson seems to recognize the full potential of life as a Colt.

Class Act by Trent, man. I'll root for him for as long as he's in this league...I'll miss him :frown:

Colts are gonna be a funnnnnnn team to watch man.

And that's an understatement. Upgrade the O-Line and secondary in the offseason and man...Them young dudes have a bright future. :pimp:

So how deep is this upcoming draft for skill positions ?

Receiver is ridiculous if the JR's come out.

Lee, Sammy, Coleman, Mathews, Hoffman, Evans, Huff, Street, Moncrief, Gallon, Mark, Davis, Greene, Parker, Richardson, Hurns, Williams, Reese, Cooks, Robinson

That's just who I have down to pay attention too, don't even count the dozens I don't know about. :smh:

TE is also deep (but not needed for Clev)

ASJ, Lyerla, Amaro, Ebron, CJ, Lynch, Grimble, Peterson, + whoever else I don't know about.

QB we went over yesterday.

RB is not as deep, but 2015's class is STUPID good. As for 14, D'Anthony, (who could be a slash Austin/Harvin type in the NFL), Carey, Redd, Sims, Williams, Seastrunk, Grice, Gordon, Sankey and whoever steps up that I don't have tracked yet.

OT is deep, DE is deep, and OLB looks pretty good. CB seems deep, but no special ones after Roby. Lot of really goods, no elite Revis types or anything.

We need an NFL Draft thread open in season to get vids up on prospects and update rankings, mocks, etc........

I'm openin one up, it's never too early. Please don't ban me Meth.

I have the same question MMG had... Gurley from Georgia looks pretty NFL ready...I love watching him run. Thoughts on him CP.

2015 class, has to wait another year. Def a round 1 back when that draft comes tho. (Health willing)

Alright, they hit on....

Jahvid Best

Suh

Fairley

Ansah (early, but the kid can ball)

Delmas

i think they hit on stafford... but i think stafford benefits MAJORLY from having johnson, which is pretty obvious..

but i dont think he is as good as some happen to believe.. or as good as the contract extension he just got should indicate (but this goes for couple other contracts handed out recently)

also, best was a major risk in the 1st with the concussion issues he had at cal

Best was a bust, he was good when he played but we all watched him get his brains scrambled at Cal.

Stafford deserves that contract, the guaranteed money is high but per year he's underpaid. Let him hit free agency and a team would damn near double that.

I keep saying this and people keep ignoring me but look at Calvin's numbers when anybody but Stafford is the QB. They okay but with Stafford he has arguably the best numbers of any WR in the history of the NFL

The Lions' current front office actually does a very good job IMO of recognizing elite talent especially in the first round. They ain't perfect but the 5 best players on the team are all the their front office's draft picks outside of Megatron.

Them second round picks tho :smh:

I kinda feel bad for the current front office and coach because they were handed the worst team in NFL history and there is only so much you can do.

But with all that being said its time for us to get another coach because they have reached the peak of what they can become under Schwartz. They might even be decent this year but we all know how it will end up. They make the same mistakes they have been making at the same rate for 4 years now. Players change, same mistakes. That's coaching.

I look around the league and if I'm a coach their isn't a better situation to walk into and win right away.

  @ DSA

And yeah, I can't call Best a bust. Isn't the average NFL career only 2.5/3 years anyways? He gave ya'll an exciting two.

Browns straight robbed Indy with this deal. Jim Irsay is such a clown *** owner. Jim Dolan of the NFL.

i wouldnt say either team was robbed.

cleveland received a 1st round pick for a player they couldn't fully utilize and will likely use that pick to further their rebuilding.

indy got a feature back to replace ballard who got hurt, and richardson is only due like 6-8 million for 3 years.

When he was twitting about getting a WR before the start of the season I was praying he was talking about maclin and we would be getting a 1st..

This was before he went down with the knee injury.. But I was hoping we moved him because I was scared as crap of having to pay him with all the little issues he has had and whatever went on before last season (his contract is up at the end of this year)

But best had serious concussion issues before getting into the league..

So it's not like some guys who blow out there knee early in their careers or something like that.. He was on a tip toeing near the edge before getting in the league
