So nobody in the NFL is a winner unless they win a super bowl?
Nope thats not at all what i was saying.   just responding to this dude that says Alex Smith is "winning", like he's doing something special that other QB's wish they could do?  no he's just being super conservative because he cant throw and so his coaches tell him not too.

He sucks so bad that the Eagles are still going to win this game when KC had the opportunity to be up by 4 TDs right now

Why would anyone brings child that young to an NFL game? :smh:

At least it isn't an NFCE game

/judgmental parent rant over

If you told or made ANY starter not throw into coverage and have them the freakin 49ers defense they'd do well too. He runs because he is scared to throw a ball to a receiver who is open. He is mediocre in every way. A qb needs to win you a game once in a while he can't really do that unless receivers make huge YAC.
Nailed it!

they went out and GOT him, they had other options, they CHOSE Alex Smith.  You dont think they knew about his throwing ability before they got him?  And it works, they're winning.  I'm willing to be that his record over the last couple years is blowing Mike Vick's out the water

His winning record came from the 49er Defense and the Kicker.  hell, the kicker (Akers) beat Jerry Rice's franchise record for points scored by a 49er in a season 2 seasons ago, because Alex Smith is awful and can't get his team into the endzone

and i havent said one word about Vick, so i don't know why you bring him up anyway.  that dude can't even play a full season without getting hurt

and exactly who else did KC have the chance to get? Tebow? lol

 Alex smith was on the Niners with an ELITE defense. You think Bowe is happy with smith at qb? Andy runs a WCO dink and dunk. He can't throw deep which limits the playcalling even if you have a step dude won't throw it to you. Please stop this  what were kc's options exactly?!? Matt cassel again?

Don't let the fact that our defense isn't good and can't tackle Donnie Avery fool you

Justin Houston is a beast. I knew he had all the talent in the world coming out of school but he literally sounded like he couldn't speak English. I mean it was bad.

That dude didn't touch one book at Georgia.

anybody they wanted.  They could have swung a trade for a QB, they could have drafted a QB ect.  They chose to go out and get Alex Smith, they knew wwhat he was before he came there.  If you knew what he was in SF, you dont think the KC scouts and GM didnt?  Lol, like NT is privy to some secret knowledge that nobody else knows?

And Mike Vick couldnt do what Alex Smith is doing right now.

lol exactly.  look at what Rivers did to the Eagles defense last week, Smith can't even throw a long ball against this sorry secondary

Okay Alex Smith is not a good quarterback. Lets just end this discussion right now.

Does he ever have a play that gains more than 5 yards? On an aesthetic level alone I hate the guy.

Michael Vick is also not a good quarterback, but in the completely opposite way.

LOL no im not saying that at all.  they got him because they didnt have any other options. nobody wants to play in KC

this dude is hell bent on comparing Smith to Vick when nobody else is even talking about Vick, lol
I'm talking about Vick.  And according to the stats, Alex Smith, who doesnt throw the ball down the field, is throwing it farther down the field than Mike Vick.

lol, yes lets use stats from a single game to compare the QB talent of 2 guys. smart.

also, Smith throws a 3 to 5 yard pass to charles or someone else and then they get 10-15 YAC. so not really impressive on Smiths part

Well for careers Vick averages 6.7, and Smith averages 6.5, so we can say they're even if you want.

And who is talking about comparing QB talent?  I thought we were talking about the tendency to throw down the field.  Vick is probably the more talented QB.  But so?

btw, on the season so far, Vicks is 10.3, Smiths is 5.7.  so there goes your argument
