Middle of the week question open to everyone... something to pass the time until tonight maybe.

Would Peyton Manning have smashed every regular season record with ease had he ran an offense at the pace of league average? Think, more plays = more opportunities for statistics. The quicker the drive, the quicker the other team gets the ball, and the closer Peyton is to getting the ball back. He runs one of slowest and more methodical offense we have ever seen, yet he is inching near the top of the records for NFL quarterbacks.

He greatly benefits from his reads at the line, I get that, but if he hadn't been draining the play clock with his long-winded reads, extended blitz callouts, etc, would we be talking about this guy like he is the greatest of all-time already? (Try to keep playoff stats out of this, strictly talking about efficiency in the regular season).

I wonder this every time I see him play.

With everything you've heard though, he is one of the smartest players in the game at any position. I don't think he needs ALL that time, yet he uses it to keep good offenses off the field for as long as possible, instruct some of his younger players what to do when he sees where a weak link in the defense is lined up, and other things of that nature.

Don't know how Jim Harbaugh doesn't release Aldon Smith, felony weapons charges and 2 DUIs plus substance abuse.

what dont you get? dude is on pace to be the greatest pass rusher of all time. you dont just release those type of players.

Damn chill with the All time. He's played 2 seasons, and went milk carton as soon as his cowboy went down. Plus watt is better right now anyways

Alot of you dudes will do and say just about anything to discredit a player, unbelievable

. That's like me saying JJ Watt gets the high number of sacks that he does because Matt Schaub constantly throws interceptions, thus keeping JJ Watt and the defense on the field. 

Also as it stands, nobody is passing Lawrence Taylor as the greatest pass-rusher, probably let alone defender in NFL history.

aldon has out played both those dudes in his first 2 seasons. Check the stats and ****.

is that all you got? no just no? aldon is the fastest player EVER to 30 sacks(27 games) and has the most sacks EVER by a player in his first 2 seasons. records he broke that were held by reggie white.
