 dude has 3 picks already and MINICAMP hasn't even started. :x

3 picks thru 11 passes  :smh:

Son was out there YOLO chuckin it.

usually players don't get into regular season form until much later. glad to see sanchez has been working hard in the offseason.

While both of you make valid points and I somewhat agree with both of you, I think the father is just standing up for his son.
His son is 23, and in any other profession at that age a dad standing up like that against his son's boss is viewed as pathetic.

Sit down, pops.

exactly. imagine your dad coming into work telling your boss to quit working you so hard

Prolly posted already but urlacher retired and woodson went back to the raiders . Everytime I check this thread it jumps at least five pages .lol

It's June.

What's the purposing of bringing this up now and saying anything MONTHS after the fact.
As I stated earlier..........Also, pointing and pushing the blame back onto Shanahan to make sure his son's is protected, or protected more going forward.

.......but this ain't any other profession so your logic doesn't apply here.  Between the media and other aspects, sports is completely different.  It's not a regular 9-5 kind of job.

If he was concerned and worried about his soon should've said something back then.

Now he's saying to get people to talk about RG3 or to prepare people incase he doesn't come back as quick and people begin to question it ala D. Rose.

This is why family, friends, baby moms , etc need to stay away from the media.

Yup!

When there is blame to go all around, trying to put it all on Shanahan is foolish.

We criticize other athletes for having their wives, gf's, parents, etc. for coming outta pocket w/ their comments....this is no different.

Injury happened close to 5 1/2 months ago. EVERYTHING that could have been said about the topic has been discussed. Like I said before, whether RG3 plays or not is not a decision for his dad to make.

It still looks weak though. His father doesn't need to be doing interviews month's after blaming the coach. It definitely seems like there's some real issues between Shanahan and RG3 though, cuz they keep talking about it.

Exactly, which is apart of my point.

I don't think there are any issues between RG3 and Shanahan. There is a lot of speculation - but nothing concrete. Both men have said all the right things and have acknowledged their mistakes from last year. It was a learning experience for everyone and they'll grow from it.

Pretty much.

Shanahan cant leave his QB out there to die

and RG3 isnt super man

mistakes were made, hopefully they learn and it doesnt hurt RG3 in the long run.

Rg3's dad has his rg3's best interest at heart and is the only one who can say what they're really feeling. Robert can't say anything but that its okay and he doesnt think it was handled wrong because then he's causing problems and isn't a warrior ie. Cutler, tomlinson. And whoever brought up reguular jobs and football that isnt the same at all. The reason its a non issue is because he is recovering way ahead of schedule, skins are fortunate. Father has every right to talk about it.

On phone, excuse the format, etc.

You're essentially proving my point. If anything, the media should be more reason for him to not speak out.

As written just prior to your comment by GMSboy1...................

"Rg3's dad has his rg3's best interest at heart and is the only one who can say what they're really feeling. Robert can't say anything"

In regards to your comment of "more reason for him to not speak out", from my standpoint his Dad is saying these things to drill the point home, regardless of how many times it has been stated before and to make sure that this is public knowledge.  Nothing wrong with someone getting their point across.

What point?

Who is he?

Who cares if he gets his point across?

Its been said and done, whats the point now? its not for the well being, its for the other agendas at hand.

knowing Adidas its all in for dad now with a special fathers day colorway dropping.

he needs to be quiet and let the subject be done with, cause it was done with.

An Anonymous Jet Is Blasting Mark Sanchez; Summer Is Unofficially Here
This year was going to be different, the front office claimed. The leaks would stop, Woody Johnson declared. It took under 24 hours from the Jets' first open practice for an unnamed player to tell a reporter that most of his teammates don't want Mark Sanchez at quarterback.

The player, who requested anonymity, told CBS Sports's Mike Freeman:

"Everyone on the team likes Mark personally but there's a general feeling among some of the players that maybe it's time to give someone else a chance." The player went on to say that he estimates that 80-90 percent of the team feels the same way he does.
This comes a day after the first OTA open to the media, one that didn't go well for the incumbent. In 11-on-11 drills Sanchez went 6-for-11 with three interceptions and one sack. The Post couldn't resist the cruel lede, "Mark Sanchez is hitting midseason form in May." (Geno Smith wasn't much better, going 3-for-10 with one INT and one sack.)

Marty Mornhinweg has indicated that he'd like to have the quarterback competition decided by training camp. So we hope every anonymous Jet throws someone under the bus before roster cuts begin.

How can anyone have any hope for the Jets to do anything anytime soon? They are scum, and it all begins with Woody Johnson.

I don't like owners/execs who need to bring as much attention, be it positive or negative, unto themselves and their teams as possible (yes, I realize the irony here).

RG3 bulked up to about 230-235

BIG difference in his physique between last year and now. Dude is yoked.

I'm not sure if its a good or bad thing about RG III bulking up.

It hindered Tebow's running ability
