I mean.....I think they are very close to being a top defense.  They already have a top defense against the pass.  Their rush D is a little suspect.  Its really hard to judge based on the fact that they got little to no help from the offense with no QB and their top RB being hurt a lot.

You put a competent QB on the 2013 Texans, and I think a lot of people would consider them to have a top defense.  Their abysmal QB play led to a lot of bad situations for the D.

the ed reed signing did not work for the Texans at all. Texans are a few pieces away from being super bowl contenders as long as their stars stay healthy.

No offense, but I feel like you're looking st numbers more than the actual games. We couldn't get stops when we needed. The pass defense stats look good because penalty yardage doesn't count toward that. I'm sure we didn't rank well in sacks.

I feel like adding Manziel can hide issues across the board.

i trust manziel wont play recklessly like he did in college. The coaches will cultivate him so he doesn't end up being michael vick 2.0

... thats who he is though . its the reason hes good in college . Manziel cant sit in the pocket and dissect defenses

Wrong. People see his highlights and assume he can't throw from the pocket. He definitely can, he just happens to be really good at extending plays and making something out of nothing.

Also, we ranked second to last in sacks and last I'd turnover margin at -20.

Sounds like you'd take him over Teddy huh?

You sound love sick

I won't BS you, I'm obviously biased here. I knew the guy, played ball with the guy, I want to see him succeed and I don't want to root against him.

With all that said, I honestly think he's the best QB in this draft. I've obviously also seen him the most, the intangibles I've seen, the weird instincts and ability to make a play out of nothing, I think it's a rare quality. If he's a bust, so be it. I just don't want to pass on it because of fear he might be a bust.

Lol @ love sick. Because I want my favorite franchise to draft a friend of mine, who played at my alma mater? Ok

I didn't know you and Johnny were friends; it now makes more sense now because you are def riding hard for him

Nothing wrong with that; I dig it

ive watched a decent amount of A&M games . we'll just have to agree to disagree

he can definitely make throws from the pocket here and there , but i dont see him sitting in there like a statue and carving teams apart in the NFL . only time will tell though

Don't get me wrong, he has a LOT of cleaning up to do. It's weird because teams either tried blitzing heavy off the edges, or just sitting everyone in zones

My biggest concern is him throwing off his back foot when he has time to plant, and over extending plays that become negative plays. There's going to be a learning curve, but I think he's very capable of making those changes.

I think Manzel can real good in the NFL. He's gonna have to get humbled though. After he realizes he's not superman and throws some picks, get knocked around some I think he'll be fine.

I hate even trying to predict. So many variables....I'm convinced many players fail simply due to teams or systems and not a reflection of their talent

Ravens need:

WR   would like to see them grab Evans with the first pick, unless Watkins is somehow still available

OT    would like Taylor Lewman

Center

Take this with a HUGE grain of salt...

@BurgundyBlog
Follower @nroby21 says his buddy coaches Gruden's son's bball team in Cincy and son has told Coach that Daddy has accepted the #********.

nroby21: @BurgundyBlog just texted him and he said done deal.

SOUUUUURCES!!!!!
