how Marvin Lewis still has a job is beyond me . getting to the playoffs in that bum *** division shouldn't be good enough . they just dont show up to play in the playoffs

sidenote -- are there any Bengals fans in this thread ? cant remember seeing a single one

I am :smh:

:nerd:

Peter King brought up a great stat about their matchups this year

Total Points of the Broncos -- 48
Total Points of the Charters -- 47

who was the guy with Peyton Manning every single day throughout the rehab process and knows what he can and cannot do ? Mike McCoy

As much as I don't wanna hear MMG's euphoria over a Peyton loss, I bet $50 on SD to win the SB so I'm hoping they pull it out

Dips are a mess

Hire seems rushed

How is the hire rushed?

Do you not remember the Zorn fiasco?

Honestly, I'd much rather them get their guy early on and let him settle in and get his staff in place than drag out the process.

Jay Gruden has agreed to become the next head coach of the Washington ********, per league source.

******** will introduce Jay Gruden as their HC this afternoon, per sources.

I'm not mad at this. Too often this team has gone the way of a big name, only to have it blow up in their faces. Skins insiders have been talking him up for a while and the consensus is that he should be a good fit for the team, and more importantly, RG3.

I'm more curious to see who he hires on his staff. Defensive coordinator is going to be HUGE. Got a feeling we're going back to a 4-3.

*edit*

NVM

Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora46s

Jim Haslett will remain the ******** D coordinator in Washington, according to sources on Jay Gruden's new staff

:wow:

Teflon....straight up teflon.

I thought they'd go in a different direction.

I was listening to the radio on my way to work and they were saying that Haslett tried to quit last year due to Shanny's meddling. He wasn't calling the plays.

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 1m
******** TE coach Sean McVay is expected to become Washington's OC, per league sources, Raheem Morris a possible defensive coordinator.

WHAT???!!!??? A lot of conflicting reports coming out of RP about who is on the staff....I'll try to keep updating as the day goes on.

Tennessee will probably hire Zimmer but im pissed we didnt get em. Jay inherited a mess but as always winning solves problems.

then I guess Jay Gruden was the best choice right? :smh:

How do you know if he isnt? I mean the answer is we dont know if he is or not. Bill Belichek or Jim Harbaugh aren't exactly available.

If the FO did their due diligence and loved Jay Gruden then what exactly are you criticizing?

They interviewed 4 or 5 people before Gruden....dont see how it was rushed

Bengals could wind up losing both coordinators. Jay Gruden is ******** HC and Mike Zimmer has emerged as a favorite in Minnesota.

Oh god, yes!

People are saying that the NFL network is reporting that Hue Jackson is in contention for the OC and Rah Morris for DC.

Only thing that's a given is Gruden's hire. Everything else is speculation and up in the air.

*Someone posted that Haz is up for the LB coaching gig.

Time will tell but the Skins have goofed on every head coach under Snyder. His track record ain't good.

How does Haslett keep his job with that garbage defense?

Man that's nice

DaComeup is also a big Who Dey fan, knows his stuff

As far as Lewis, it would be surprising for him to keep his job if he was with a lot of other teams. Cincy just a different structure. I don't think them losing Jay is a huge deal but Zim definitely could be

Can someone please hire Caldwell , I want a new OC in Baltimore also, I knew he won us a Super Bowl but harbs is starting to rub me the wrong way with the way he does things

Beat reporters are saying that McVay is a bright mind and widely respected. Gonna be interesting to see how this plays out.

As far as Haslett, I wonder if him being retained (in some capacity) is more of an indication of the micromanaging/control freak nature Shanahan had. I don't know, really. Just trying to make sense of him still being here. As long as he isn't DC....which seems to be the case.
