Are the Steelers ever going to get rid of that terrible number font and return to the sensible block numbering?

******** considering nuclear option to restore cap space
Posted by Mike Florio on February 25, 2013, 4:35 PM EST

Last year, the NFL stripped $36 million in cap space from the ********, who along with the Cowboys apparently took the term “uncapped year” too literally in 2010.

In response, the ******** employed half-measures to recover the cap dollars, filing a grievance under the labor deal that did nothing other than stir up a cockeyed collusion claim from the NFLPA.

This year, with half of the penalty due to hit the 2013 salary cap, the ******** could be opting for a more complete assault on the league’s position. Or at least threatening it.

According to Mark Maske and Mike Jones of the Washington Post, the ******** are spreading the word in Indianapolis that they’re considering legal action aimed at delaying the start of free agency while litigation proceeds regarding the question of whether the ********’ legal rights were violated. The ******** are telling agents that any contract talks will be delayed until the situation is resolved.

Silberman's first kick went only 16 yards and she appeared to injure herself on the kick. She took another kick, but that one was even worse, flying just 14 yards.

A former soccer player, Silberman had never played football before. She hoped that the time she spent with video games would give her an advantage, but the 28-year-old never really got a chance to kick due to her injury and will not make an NFL team right now.

I hate people like the ********

Try and circumvent the rules or try and "get over" on a loop hole then get upset and cry foul when **** comes back when **** isn't a 100% kosher.

I saw give them back the cap, let's see who they can overpay now.

Que?

They got screwed out of 36 million dollars due to collusion. You'd be upset too if things went down in this manner. On top of it all, let's not sit there and say that Roger Goodell is making decisions in a fair manner.

******** just throw money away like its new yrs, I'm yet to see one player they've got the max on to show he's even worthy! Have not Albert haynesworth of the worlds and etc....

I know Houston did it.

But if we got in trouble for front loading a contract I wouldn't be upset

Someone has to help Alex Smith's numbers out to save face for such a horrible trade.
It damn sure wasn't gonna be Tony Moeaki.

Dustin Colquitt is now highest-paid punter in NFL. He reached agreement with Chiefs on a 5-yr, $18.75 million deal, including $8.9 mil gtd.

ZERO percent chance they win the case.....not sure why they trying to flex.

How do you know there's a zero percent chance? There was obvious collusion and if the Jonathan Vilma case taught you anything, then you'd know that anything can happen if these cases go to the courts.

Now, I don't think that this will go to the courts b/c it's turning into a game of chicken w/ the NFL....but it's going to be interesting to see how much (if anything) the NFL does give back to the ********/Cowboys.

As petty as Dan Snyder is about going after small businesses etc., there isn't a chance in hell that he lays down on this.
Rodgers could be the next quarterback to get a new deal
It’s widely believed that the next wave of quarterbacks to get new deals in the wake of the Joe Flacco contract will include Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, and Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford.

But the most glaring contract presently belongs to Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who’ll earn less than half the average of the $20 million mark that more and more quarterbacks are approaching or exceeding.

Rodgers hasn’t asked for a new deal, and he hasn’t complained about his current contract.  A league source with knowledge of the situation believes, however, that the Packers soon will take care of Rodgers.

“It is his time,” the source said.

The source also believes that, once Rodgers has a new deal, it will set a new benchmark that will stand for several years.
