Didn't know Welker turned down a 2yr/16 million dollar deal from the Pats. Not really sure what other teams would dump a lot of money to him.

See, I don't wanna subscribe to this mindset. Tom's situation is unique and shouldn't be used as a guage for others. I will never be mad @ a player for getting as much money as they can, ESPECIALLY in the NFL where nothing is guaranteed and **** changes from year to year. Wes is gonna be 32 at the start of next season...this is probably his last major contract and if him or his agent think they can get more money or a longer term offer from someone else, more power to them.

I'm also not mad @ what the Patriots offered. Perhaps they could've added an extra year but the money falls in line w/ what he "should" be getting paid. It's all about your expected production, not your past contributions. *shrugs*
