Andrew Luck's skillset and ceiling is far superior to that of Russell Wilson.

What we saw from Wilson's rookie season is close to the best we'll witness in years to come. Will he get better? Yes. By leaps and bounds? No. His potential is more limited than Luck's or RG3's.

Yep

Once tape gets around on Russ, they will find ways to contain him, and force him to make throws I'm not sure he can make. His size is a tremendous disadvantage once the league figures out how to deal with the option stuff. And once a few hits pile up, and his legs aren't what they are in his youth, where do his skills translate?

Andrew Luck however, is a QB computer, with the size and measurables on top of intangibles that will carry him a LARGE distance. Again, Peyton Manning had a rough rookie year, but the writing was on the wall. Same will be said about Mr Luck.

Some of you must not have followed his career the last few years in college. He threw the ball around with almost no wide receivers. The kid has been LeBron for the last 3 years, teams salivating to get a shot at him. The Colts won the lottery just like they did in 98.

And like Chester said, I like Russ, a lot. Really enjoy watchin him play. But he's not better than Andrew Luck guys.

what makes you say this? every single scout said wilson would have been a top 5 draft pick if he was taller. If your only argument is height im gooing to have to disagree. drew brees is only 1 inch taller than him

idk about that. russ played behind the biggest line in college football. and russ is a QB computer also. dudes in the film room more than the coaches.

Tape got around on Drew Brees, but he seems to be doing just fine. I've mentioned many times the reasons exactly why Russell's height is not a disadvantage as most assume it to be. And if they figure out the "option stuff" then Wilson isn't the only QB going down then because of all the young guys running that read-options, Russell has taken the least amount of hits and displayed a more pass first mentality than any of them.

Luck is very smart, but so is Russell. And in terms of overall football knowledge, the gap isn't far at all and my just be in Russell's favor. At the end of last year, Russell was better. That's all I'm going by, so to say Luck is better today...Eh...Nope! Now will it continue? No clue.

Are there any NON Seattle fans claiming Russell Wilson is a better QB than Andrew Luck? Can I get a show of hands please?

NON Seattle fans.
Ok, that's fair then, I was asking to be sure.
i hate the seahawks but russell wilson is better than andrew luck bruh .he's everything you could ever want in a quarterback .....could you even give mea single negative in his game? arm = A......football iq = A+.....mobility = A+....accuracy = A........i could go on and on.....andrew just isnt there yet in his decision making

Well, CP is right. They really did hit the lottery with Luck, a la Peyton.

No sense in comparing the two as actual quarterbacks, but there's no doubt that Luck is on his way to being great and one of the Leagues best.

So Luck really is Peyton 2.0? Is there specific documentation of that? Broussard sources?

Week 10 @ NE:
334 yards
2 TDs
3 INTs
Loss

i'd say he's well on his way to being peyton 2.0 :pimp:

seriously though, his ceiling is ridiculous. his year was tremendous given what he was working with and asked to do.

Luck, RG3, Kaep, Wilson are all on the same level to me. It just depends on who think has the better upside.

I would rank them

RG3
Luck
Kaep
Wilson

But you can't wrong with any of these dudes.

Disagree w/ the notion that Wilson's ascendance will slow due too his height. He is 6'0, W/ a high release point and has been throwing over 6'5+ lineman since college. If he fails it won't be due to his height

Russ has a legit NFL arm that shouldn't be in question

Both guys had ****** WR cores in college as well

I think RG3 is too good to disappear like some people think.  He'll fix his game to play safer and be right back.
