NFL should consider going back to an "astro turf" like material. Football players have injuries like this much more often because when they plant their foot, the cleats dig into the surface and there isnt any give forcing the ligaments to support the knee more than what it can handle.

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller likely will be suspended at least six games for violation of the league's substance policy, according to league sources.

The announcement could come as early as Monday but the sides are still negotiating the final number on a deal that is expected to be formalized sometime this week, the sources said.

Miller is not likely to go forward with an appeal, though all sides were trying to finalize the suspension's conditions.

Miller met last Thursday with the NFL Players Association with some hope he could have the suspension reduced to four games, sources said, but another source familiar with the process was convinced it will be at least a six-game suspension.

Regardless, Denver will have to begin game-planning knowing Miller will not be available.

woodyard and irving will need to step up. no von and champ with that severe foot sprain. feels batman. denver needs to make sure champ gets healthy. they can't rush him and have that injury linger all season. broncos need to be healthy for a superbowl run. in the meantime, the offense needs to put up 35 and the defense can only allow 34

I think I read he tested positive for cocaine in college. That **** is out of your system quicker than anything. The only way you actually test positive for it is if you're snorting a **** ton on the reg, or if you did some like the day of the test. So who knows what he was doing.
