Von has way too much upside to just dump his ***. As stated above me, just give him the Dez treatment.

I don't care, there's nowhere I'm letting Von Miller go. He is the second best defensive player IMO, and you can't just let him go. Get him a baby sitter like Dez.

As posted by franc......on page 914 of this thread..............

"von will be in stage 3 for the rest of his career. the next infraction will result in a minimum 1 yr suspension."

You dudes really would want to roll the dice on that one as a GM??

When you're talking about the 2nd best defensive player in the league... Yes.

I'm sure they could work in a clause, that voids the contract/guaranteed money if he is suspended.

The so called 2nd best defensive player in the league can't do NOTHING for you if he suspended for 6 games to start off the season..........or worse yet, suspended for an entire year, and maybe then some.  He may be the 2nd best defensive player in the league when he's on the field, but given this past month and his infractions (and that's infractions plural meaning more than one) this clown with his SELF-INFLICTED wounds is right where he needs to when the season begins in a few weeks............which is on the couch watching with all the other fans, and with those wack glasses that he often wears I'm sure he doesn't need to sit close in order to get a good view.

2nd best defensive player in the league?

No sir.

I like how he's doing everything to push the fact he didn't fail a drug test, n_ thinks the country hasn't done drugs before and got hit with the pop quiz piss test so you scramble for alternatives.
Own up to your sh** and take it like a man b.

This can apply to just football in general as well as fantasy.

Raiders OC Greg Olson admits he's had to change his playbook because of LT Jared Veldheer's triceps injury.

Veldheer was arguably Oakland's best player and replacement Alex Barron is a street free agent type. "It'll impact how we use Darren McFadden, it'll impact how we use Marcel Reece," Olson said. "You don't lose a player like that and think that you're not going to have to change." McFadden, who's rushed eight times for 22 yards (2.75 YPC) in the preseason, has a down arrow next to his name.

Denver doesn't really have much of a choice, they either A) add language into a contract that protects them financially in the instance that Miller does receive a third infraction and comes with slightly less guaranteed money, or B) Von Miller walks and gets similar money elsewhere.

He's not the kind of talent you just let stroll out of your organization and leave yourself empty-handed.  I'm sure the FO still views him as their 1A/1B priority to re-sign this offseason.

Edit:  Wow, he lost more money than I thought.
Based on Appendix D to the substance-abuse policy, the six-game suspension requires Miller to repay 6/17th of the bonus allocation for 2013.  At a total signing bonus of $13.773 million and an allocation per year of $3,443,250, that’s a forfeiture of $1,214,264.

[...]

Coupled with Miller’s lost salary of $806,161.76 (based on a full 2013 base salary of $2,284,125), his total financial losses for the six-game suspension will be $2,020,425.76.

ESPN's Ron Jaworski calls #49ers No. 1 team in NFC: "I believe Colin Kaepernick can be the best QB arguably in the history of the NFL."

And in regards to the Bostic fine.. the NFL is bass ackwards.

Let's sell this play as being 'spectacular', and then slap it with a fine!

It just doesn't matter.  He's a superstar level player and you don't let a #3 pick just walk like that.  If they did, he'd be getting Mario Williams money, suspension risk and all.

Some of the schematic things he says have value, but his evaluation of players normally can be cast aside.

man I hope the broncos really aren't taking the bs high road morality stance. Drugs are the very lowest of what some these players get into.long as it's not the violent crimes or he's out there driving afterwards.

And if they are trade him to the cowboys. Come be with the team you wanted to be with on draft day. We take chances on players and it works out for at least a season.

Yes, I'd still do it. And I'm sure a clause in his contract is basically mandatory at this point.
i figured that this is most likely to happen as well. i am sure denver wants to keep him but they have to throw a clause in his contract to protect themselves as well.
