The Brian Banks story will continue for at least one more preseason game with the Atlanta Falcons.

Banks, 26, is working to realize his NFL dream after being falsely imprisoned for five years on an aggravated rape charge.

On Tuesday, Banks survived the first round of cuts in Atlanta and should play quite a bit in the Falcons preseason finale against Jacksonville as he hopes to prove himself worthy of a roster spot (or at least a place on the practice squad) with the club.

"For me, it wasn't a difficult day or a nervous moment," Banks told the Falcons website. "I feel like if you put your all into something and you work and try as hard as you can, it's all you really can do. After that, whatever's supposed to happen will happen. That's just how I look at things. If I'm supposed to be here and I do all that I can to be here, I'll be here. The day of first cuts, I treated it as a normal day. If my phone rang, then I knew it was time to hear the words, but it didn't and I'm still here and I'm still working as hard as I can."

Seattle is not having much luck with a couple of their high priced FA's.

They need a new training staff with how bad these evaluations are seeming.

yo for everything they said about the ravens they have haloti ngata , dumervill and suggs on the line and

their second best defensive player webb didnt even play in the playoffs , they replace ed with elam , ray with arthur brown

ecxellent offensive line with a good run game and the deep ball is still there with torrey smith

they can get back in the superbowl in my opinion

JJ...you need to ask your buddy chester who his QB and team defense is in the NT keeper league :nerd:

So in the draft thread me and Gunna mentioned how the Pats acquired some more useless picks from Minnesota that would end up cut.

Somebody brought the Pats recent success in the draft as evidence contrary to this.

Come forward whoever you are.

They ain't gonna be back in the Super Bowl but they won't suck either. I'm thinking 8 or 9 wins. Bengals are really, really good and the Browns have a ton of potential.

"The Wake Forest product universally was touted as the "safest" pick in the 2009 draft, proving there is no sure thing. Curry's intelligence and athleticism gave him the look of a plug-and-play starting linebacker.

Former Houston Texans general manager Charley Casserly called Curry the "best linebacker prospect" he'd seen in 10 years. The Detroit Lions reportedly considered taking Curry at No. 1 overall."

:wow:

Aaron Curry is the reason Seahawks fans are always happy when Mel Kiper and Todd McShay crap all over our draft picks.

"Safest pick in the draft"...  Never again.

Same things were said about Robert gallery and rolando mcclain

mel kiper and mcshay shouldn't be paid anything substantial to do their jobs, seriously. give em like $80K a year to do what they do. that's it. they're wrong more times than they're right...and that extends beyond grading out these guys

 come on now EVERYONE was high on Curry. Bottom line these mock drafts and predictions are wrong almost just as many times they're right.

Edit: Mel is garbage though

Im glad Mel got on cuz he went to my high school and all that but he been fallin off for some years now...One day i was just thinking that even tho they study and put in work..all they do is basically guess who's going to be good and who's not  ...Its some NTers on here that can do their job for 80 k

And the Ravens should finish first or 2nd as long as they can find a half way decent 2nd reciever/tight end...the Browns got a good defense but their Offense is Still Trash outside of Trent, thats why they always have a hard time in the division cuz they cant score..
