Bottom line, Browns control the Draft Board in 2014.
Last year almost no deals were made that involved picks for this draft, the Browns just happened to be a team that added 2 of them. It was mentioned multiple times during the draft, teams don't want to give up 2014 picks. (Heck, Skins traded theirs a year ahead, otherwise there was like 4-5 trades tops that included 2014 picks, and the Browns landed two of those.
Now they have 3.
The trade is solid for both teams. I get why the Colts did it, I get why the Browns did it.
And as stated above, the Bengals pissed on the draft for decades, until suddenly, they didn't. That's what the Browns are gambling right now, even if they screw up, they have to get at least SOME talent with all these picks. Even accidentally they should get some good talent. They could throw darts and make those their picks, it's a good draft to have control of, and they do. They'll be makin a pick every 18-20 picks or so, that's absurd, and in a deep draft.
