We'll learn a lot between the Vikings and Lions this weekend.

Peterson will gash and I think the Lions keep it close by throwng all over the place. Bush should have a huge game receiving, but I feel like Stafford throws a late pick and the Vikes win.

Book it!

i think detroit is a 10 win team this season. bush is going to be huge for them. the screens, dump offs, and draw plays will be dangerous

some of the vikings criticism is warranted, but they're competing with the lions and bears. do either of those teams really worry anyone? it's not out of the question for the vikings to finish 2nd

i think both of those teams are in a better position than minnesota at this time. but it's not like they're leaps and bounds better. i see where JPZ is coming from.

exactly. i can make an argument for the finishing anywhere but 1st in the division, and it applies to all 3 teams. ponder is so bad but how much better was cutler than ponder last year? marginal if at all. the lions defense wasn't garbage? the vikings finished the season on a nice little run. who knows what'll happen this year

excited for a new nfl season :pimp:

I think the Lions roll the Vikings Week 1.

Last time the Lions had a rb that could do the things Reggie Bush can do they won 9 straight games.

I want to predict bigger things from the Lions but I don't trust coaches enough but they have the talent.

I know the numbers guys say momentum doesn't exist and clutchness doesn't exist... have they ever heard of a placebo effect?

The mentally weak win out over the numbers, in a lot of situations.

The Lions had one of the best records in the NFL in 2011 in close games they totally reverse that in 2012.

Statistically speaking it doesn't hold up unless you have a great quarterback with the Vikings obviously don't have.

I'm not going to go as far as Barnwell and say its all luck but I don't see it repeating.

The post you quoted was a general statement on the league to me.... I had moved on from the Lions/Vikings.

But while we're on the subject!

Then you agree that the Lions don't have a great quarterback at all! Good.

Actually yeah I don't think Stafford is great I don't remember ever saying he was.

I think he's capable of it but gun to my head naw. Great quarterbacks don't go 4-12.

I'm in a league with my boys but it's only 8 teams. Because of this we made 2 QB's starting. What kind of draft strategy should I take.. I don't know when I should draft my QB's because I've never been in a league like this.

late . you'll be surprised at what value QBs you can get in rounds 7 and beyond

regarding the Lions , Stafford is 1-23 against teams that finish the season at above .500

... that's not a typo , 1-23

I think Jennings will start to receive more credit than he was given with Packers due to being labeled as a "System WR". He's one of the best in the league when it comes to route running. He has a high IQ, knows how to get open by himself, and hes great at making the first defender miss. That should help out Ponder alot. Then again teams will be favoring him on defense because they don't have 4 other options to worry about like when he was on the Packers. But still, Jennings is a good fit for Ponder and we should see some increase in efficiency from him. Still a douche though.

Jennings is amazing , but Ponder is so limited in the passing game IMO . dude averages the same amt of yds on each throw as AP does on each run ...

hopefully he can put the work in , but i just dont have faith in Ponder like that

Ponder and Jennings haven't really been on the same page at all during the preseason though. I'm worried it will take most the season for them to finally build that rapport, but Jennings should still be a huge positive for Minnesota's passing game.

I can't see the Raiders going 0-16. Their division is too weak not to sneak in a win or two. And I also think TP is good for a win if he gets in a groove for a game..

The Jets though....

Champ Bailey has been ruled out. I had Denver winning, but I don't know what that D will look like without Doom, Von, and Champ.

i think both teams are capable of getting a win or two. the jets are going to be better than people think.

going 0-16 is insanely difficult...the lions should be commended :pimp:
