Rivers then Freeman for me, but I seriously want to see Dennis Dixon too. I'm gettng mad that he's not getting a chance!

He had several chances, before Chip Kelly put on the cape, he was on Baltimore's practice squad...

Honestly, the Jags, Vikes and a few other teams could use Mark Sanchez.  Atleast they all actually have receivers to throw to, and backs to hand off to

I don't think San Diego lets him get away.

And Minnesota's front office isn't stupid enough to offer up a Carson Palmer package.

I brought up the point in the QB thread.

Minny as it stands with AD along is a 7/8 win team.

They have talent offensively with Rudolph / AD / Cord / Jennings / Simpson.

Solid O-Line.

Solid D-Line along with some pieces in the secondary.

That team isn't bad enough for a top 10 pick.

Not to mention they have pay 5 First rounders in the next 3-4 years with kalil, smith, X, Floyd, Cord.

And with Rivers that team is good enough for contention for the NFC North Title and maybe more.

A 1st rounder and 2nd or maybe 2 firsts is enough to get it done.

We kinda joked about it in the NFC North thread but Shaun Hill get that team to 10-11 wins.

Rivers is not worth anything close to a first and a second round pick. He's an average starting QB who's past his prime and never won anything.

Shaun Hill was the truth for SF when they were a 5 win team. It wasn't pretty, but he won games. Where is that guy now?

In that quote from 2011 I was talking about 2010 Josh Freeman. 25 touchdowns, 6 picks and a 96 passer rating leading the Bucs to a 10-6 record as the youngest team in the league in his first full season as a starter. Would have made the playoffs if not for the 8-8 Seahawks making it and losing the tiebreaker to the Packers. Dude was like a 6'6 version of what Russell Wilson was last year. I have no idea what happened to that quarterback and neither do really any other Bucs fans.

Every Week In Review thread that year had a countless amount of you like "Josh Freeman :smokin" "Josh Freeman is the truth" "The black Big Ben :smokin". I really should go back and find some good quotes from you dudes. Everybody was on his nuts hard that year. I remember seeing more than a few times that Freeman, Blount and Mike Williams were the "new Big 3"

their schedule was so cupcake that season it was ridiculous ; they were 1-5 against teams above .500

Buc Em just needs to suck it up and say he was completely wrong.

Nothing he says will be worth a quarter if his team continues to be a**.

Puzzled at how the media/analysts aren't sold on Kaepernick. Dude is legit
It's easy to play on a stacked team and look legit.

Not saying he isn't but one has to have doubts.
I hear what you are saying, but this isnt Alex Smith we are talking about.  Alex Smith went 20-6 (including playoffs) from 2011-2012, and he was shipped out of town.  Alex Smith was basically told to "not eff things up" and that was how he played for that period of time.  And this is coming from the harshest of Alex Smith critics, he did a phenomenal job managing the games and not screwing things up.  Kaepernick is on a whole different level.  He isnt playing with the "all I have to do is not make mistakes and we will win" type style.  He is playing "make plays to help my team win" style.  And he is doing it.

Being on a stacked team should not make people question how good he is.  I think thats silly.

i don't think that's silly at all. i absolutely think that kaep is the goods but this happens every single day in sports.

hell this forum should know it best with the packers wide receivers debate of them either being really good or system receivers.

if X player was on Y team, he'd produce so much more or so much less than he is now. it's always a topic of debate.
