Just a heads up, a special about the Life and Times of Lawrence Taylor is currently airing on Showtime.

Pretty good thus far.

It re-airs @ 10pm for anyone interested.

Hope not...need the dolphins to drop a game

A lot of injuries for both teams this game. Tannienhill Benn hurt this week. Wallace is questionable. Mike pouncy is questionable solai is out and Chris Clemons is questionable. And the falcons have even more probs with injuries.

have we had a good Thursday night game the last 2 years? I really cant remember one. i don't see the point of starting Thursday games before thanksgiving

Off the top of my head the only one I can think of was Packers-Saints two years ago. But that was Week 1 so it wasn't their second game in 5 days.

Games are meh (on paper)..
I want to watch Indianapolis @ San Francisco..

Why is everyone complaining about these Thursday games. It's one more game you wouldn't have been able to watch otherwise. Why are you complaining about more football.

NFL network HAS to have programming to sell. Having just highlights and discussion isn't enough for what they want to charge sponsors.

Can't do it on Friday or Saturday because of high school and college, that leaves Thursday. And even tho awful, people still watch.

if i'm not mistaken the networks get to pick which games they want to air in a tier order. SNF goes first, MNF second, cbs/fox, then the nfl network. i know it's like that for college football at least

In regards to Battle being fined. I figured this would be inconsistent. Maybe im still not completely understanding the rule but isn't that exactly what James Starks did when Merriweather knocked himself out. Dropped his head and lead with the crown of his helmet outside of the tackle box. Shouldnt they both have been fined?

With this new rule and what its supposed to prevent couldn't you argue Starks is as much to blame for Merriweathers concussion than Merriweather himself? If so, Merriweather was fined for this. How is Goodell just ingore Starks on this one when he obviously looked it over enough to issue a fine in the first place.
