Anyone still wanna make arguments for Eli and Flacco being elite or top 10?
Obviously he just had a bad game with the 5 ints (two were tips, the rest were really bad decisions including one near the redzone that certainly lost us the game) but I still think he is a top 10 QB all things considered.

Or to put it in tiers, I think Ryan/Romo/Flacco/Ben/Eli are on the same tier. Hard to judge Luck and Wilson this early in their careers but they're next up. Gotta mention Rivers also, he's having a resurgence.

Dez :pimp:

Okay Washington!

nah eli's defintely slipped out of the "elite" qb ranking for sure

he's had tons of help from his ****** offensive line and mostly awful defense, but there's no way you can hold him anywhere in the same light as someone like tom brady

that's just the way it is

he's still latitudes above a never even has been like tony romo though

Matt Ryan still doesn't get enough credit in my opinion. He doesn't ever have the epic meltdowns that some of the others have rather consistently. If we went with tiers then I think he'd be in his own right outside of elite.

Who called Flacco elite and put him in the top 10 other than Jaws?

Eli was never elite. He's had good regular seasons and he kills the Pats but not never elite.

joe flacco put himself in that category

That doesn't mean **** though. Every QB should think that but it doesn't mean it's true.

He kills the Pats too.

He was never in there. For the last few years the only QB's worth putting in that category have been Rogers, Peyton, Brady and Brees.

651: Eli has done it at least twice culminating in two successful SB titles. Double that of Flacco if we're counting rings and postseason roads to success.

The desperate heave to Tyree and perfect throw to Manningham are annoying. But clutch and poised nonetheless.

I have Eli a step under Big Ben directly. Flacco outside the top-10.

Matty Ice performs well in the regular season. But his lack of postseason success is extremely detrimental. And now his team is 1-2 hosting the undefeated Pats. Show me something tonight.

Simply put, Matty Ice lacks a signature postseason run or postseason moment that Eli, Ben, Flacco all possess.

Romo's in the same predicament as Matty Ice. No signature postseason run.

David Garrard was poised and mentally tough too. Those are all great intangibles, but that on top of being a team that makes a nice little run doesn't make someone the best of the absolute best. His numbers are nowhere close to the truly great who don't have on and off season. Always on.

Those can be reflective of team though. People said the same of Peyton before he actually won a Super Bowl, so it goes back to that age-old and dumb argument of Championships dictating a persons place in the hierarchy of QB's.

I would take Ryan every time over Eli because you never know which one you get. You can choose Eli and get lucky if he's "on" or he'll be a complete disastrous failure.

Ryan has lethal weapons around him. You could actually argue that he's been a bit overrated given what he's had to work with and his results.

And that playoff game where the Falcons scored 2 pts was pretty much a meltdown.

Romo implodes similarly to Eli.

Matty Ice's team has not been the primary (or only) reason for lack of postseason success. The supporting cast is/was solid. Burner, S-Jax now, Quizz, Gonzo, Roddy, Julio, Douglas. Defense is improving with players like Spoon, Moore, Trufant.

Falcons are now 1-2 to start 2013. When will we get elite Matty Ice with a signature postseason run or moment?
