Torrey Smith played after his brother died. Ed Reed played after his brother was found dead in a river. Athletes deal with stuff differently.

Here's the thing...those were after. You said in both circumstances the word after. I can see people a little confused by AP's words and statements that he will most certainly play when his son...his baby, is in a hospital on life support. That's current and going on right now. His son, hospital, life support but alive, right now.

It's definitely why nobody can judge the situation because this is a personal matter for more than a few reasons. I can see a side to how AP is handling it as well...It's all a personal ordeal and no one else can have a say.

Everyone handles traumatic/tragic incidents in their lives differently.

AD probably feels that playing football, will help him cope with the situation with his son.

Just because he intends to play on Sunday doesn't mean that he doesn't care about his son. Brett Favre played a game a day after his father died. That didn't mean that he did not love or care for him. A lot of athletes deal with tragedy in their lives by turning to their respective sports. I imagine doing what they do best is often therapeutic to them.

Might wanna stop jumping to conclusions.

I could be mistaken, but wasn't AD who had a brother die before the combine as well and still went to perform well?

I am absolutely disgusted concerning the AP Son story, if that needed to be said.

What the **** was the mom doing leaving her 2 year old with a guy she hadn't known for that long?!

This was my train of thought as well. Reckless.

That child depended on his mother to protect her and make smart, responsible decisions for his safety. She failed. It's extremely difficult for me to believe that there was NO hint of this kind of trouble before this happened. The guy never flashed on her? Never struck her? Literally incredible.

Adrian Peterson's son has died according to police.

Enjoy all the time you have on Earth, everyone. And may Hell exist if only for people like Joseph Patterson.
