dumb as it sounds it the truth...thats what the NFL is now. sounds ignorant but now everybody shooting missles below the waiste.

I don't even blame him though, so many missed tackles these days in the NFL & CFB because these dudes get wild hesitent when these receivers/tight ends come flying free across the middle and have to second guess themselves or risk fat fines or ejections, it's disgusting.

A few bad/good games change everyone's opinions on players so fast it's hilarious.

Nawww fam, Marshall X Bennett escalated that situation to what it has become today...

Coming out to the media talking about they should ban an individual from doing something they love, have dedicated their entire life towards up to this point, and Bennett talking about he'd slide dude?

I'm on Meriweather's side, these quarterbacks/receivers out here getting treated like lil princess and still want to complain.

I say no he is not a scumbag for bringing that up.  Remember, you have to look at the entire picture of the situation.  Brandon Marshall said Meriweather needs to be banned from the league for his high hits.........banned from the NFL.  Which means Meriweather could no longer play the sports he likes playing thus more importantly taking away Meriweather's income and way of living.  With that being said, I don't really blame Meriweather for what he said.  In fact, I applaud him for it in that regard taking everything into account.  If someone were trying to stop my income or stop my livelihood I would say and or do something to cut back at them just as worse if not moreso.

Brandon taking shots at Marshall is equal to have a argument with someone and they don't have a proper rebuttal so they resort to personal attacks.

The personal attack began when Brandon Marshall suggested that Meriweather be banned from the league, thus taking away his income.  At the end of the day Brandon Marshall is not a league representative, league official or the Commissioner of the NFL, he's just an employee just like Meriweather.  Brandon Marshall is in no position to suggest or comment on who should be banned from the league and for what reason. 

Brandon Marshall has no power or executive privilege in the NFL whatsoever.  He should just stick to going to the necessary classes to have him resolve his mental health issues and leave it at that.  Once he made that comment about Meriweather it wall all fair game for Meriweather to deliver that verbal knockout to Marshall.  I say more power to Meriweather in that regard.  I'm sure Marshall has learned his lesson on not speaking ill of Meriweather again, a very hard lesson learned.

Personal insult from Meriweather wasn't wrong, but it's still a red herring and has nothing to do with the subject at hand. Marshall was still right about everything he said.

As a player who might be impacted by Mw's stupid and dirty play, Marshall absolutely has a right to comment on it.

Everything else Meriweather said was idiotic, which is what we've come to expect from this guy.

Meriweather sounds like such a prick now, but I agree with him on the fact that it's impossible to really lay hard hits anymore. Everything has to align perfectly or else it's 15 yards and a fine.
