Panthers defense is playing great right now but Brady just played one of his best games ever and finally has his whole crew back (Gronk, Amendola, Vereen)...gonna be a lot tougher than anything they've faced yet.

Bowe was arrested for speeding and weed possession.

Not everything is going the undefeated Chiefs' way. Wide receiver Dwayne Bowe was arrested on Tuesday morning for speeding and possession of marijuana, police told a Kansas City news station.

According to Fox4KC.com, Bowe was arrested in Riverside, Missouri for speeding and possession. That was confirmed in a statement to the news station from Riverside Police.

"While questioning the driver, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana from inside of the vehicle. The officer then requested the driver and two passengers to get out of the vehicle," Riverside police said. "Once out of the vehicle the officer explained to the driver, who owned the vehicle, that he was a K-9 Officer and that the dog would alert to an illegal substance.

"Subsequently, inside of a black bag the officer discovered the wallet of the driver and vehicle owner, Dwayne L. Bowe, and two containers that had 6.6 grams and 3.8 grams respectively of what is believed to be marijuana in them. Bowe was then placed under arrest for the possession of a controlled substance. The K-9 alerted to a black backpack and inside of that was found a container that had 4.2 grams of what is believed to be marijuana in it."

The car, a 2011 Audi A-8, was pulled over for doing 48 in a 35 MPH zone shortly before midnight on November 10.

Bowe was taken to jail and processed along with one of the men, George S. Thompson, in the car. Bowe was charged with speeding and possession and released on $750 bond. Thompson was charged with possession and released on $500 bond. The third man in the car, who wasn't named in the police statement, posted the bond for the other two.

The Chiefs are aware of the situation but aren't commenting further.

Kansas City's coming off their bye week and set to play its biggest game of the year, matching up against the Broncos and a banged-up Peyton Manning for AFC West bragging rights.

He also put up those numbers against one of the worst Steelers teams assembled ever as well, an actually a lot of teams this year seem to be coming out rusty/flat after their bye weeks. Might not be the biggest asset outside of getting some players healthy as it once was.

Patriots after a bye under Belichick , FYI

Playing on "Monday Night Football" affords teams an extra day of preparation for their prime-time appearance.

The Patriots, who will play their lone Monday night game of the season in Week 11, have the benefit of more than just one extra day to prepare, as they're coming off of their bye week as well.

With 15 days to get ready for Carolina, one would expect the Patriots to be prepared for most of what the Panthers have to throw at them. Coach Bill Belichick always excels at having his team in a position to play come kickoff, especially with extra time on his side.

Below is a look at how the Patriots have fared under Belichick following a regular-season bye week:

2012: Defeated Bills 37-31
2011: Lost to Steelers 25-17
2010: Defeated Ravens 23-20 (overtime)
2009: Defeated Dolphins 27-17
2008: Defeated 49ers 30-21
2007: Defeated Bills 56-10
2006: Defeated Bills 28-6
2005: Defeated Bills 21-16
2004: Defeated Bills 31-17
2003: Defeated Cowboys 12-0
2002: Lost to Broncos 24-16
2001: Defeated Panthers 38-6
2000: Lost to Bills 16-13 (overtime)
Total: 10-3

Interestingly, Belichick has had 15 days to prepare for an opponent during the regular season just once before in his career. That took place in 2001 before playing the Panthers. The Patriots are hopeful for the same result with 15 days to prepare for Carolina this season.

Percy about to have 3 touches and 2 TD's next Sunday. :smh:

Hoping for a miracle. Do not want Minnesota getting embarrassed in Seattle.

Carolina's gotta top 3 defense but Belichick with a bye and plenty of time to prepare for Carolina. No idea who I'm picking. Low scoring game is what I think for sure. Carolina will kick a few FGs. Not sure how Brady will do. If he can have some time in the pocket, NE wins.

Not even being sarcastic, did any of the teams they beat listed above, make the playoffs?

Ya'll thinking the Pats can handle that dynamic powerhouse run game the Panthers like to utilize?
When it gets going early it's flat out degrading to the opposing defense, especially when Killa keeps it and gets in space :smh:

2 rushing yards for an entire NFL game for 1 team should be unacceptable for any team.

:smh:

I can't wait for Sunday...biggest game of the year so far folks..Browns vs Bengals

should be a good game.

Chiefs-Broncos, Browns-Bengals and Panthers-Patriots are some huge ones.
9ers Saints too.

Dwayne Bowe
RIVERSIDE, Mo. — Riverside Police confirmed to FOX 4 Tuesday morning that an officer arrested Chiefs’ wide receiver Dwayne Bowe on Sunday for speeding and possession of marijuana.
The police department also sent out a news release with further details. The news release is as follows:
Shortly before midnight on November 10th a Riverside Police Officer was parked on West Platte Road and NW Business Park using radar to check for speed violations when a black, 2011 Audi A8 registered a speed of 48 mph in a 35 mph zone. The police officer, in a marked police car, subsequently stopped the car on West Platte Road at Riverside Street.
While questioning the driver the Officer detected a strong odor of marijuana from inside of the vehicle. The officer then requested the driver and two passengers to get out of the vehicle. Once out of the vehicle the Officer explained to the driver, who owned the vehicle, that he was a K-9 Officer and that the dog would alert to an illegal substance. Subsequently, inside of a black bag the officer discovered the wallet of the driver and vehicle owner, Dwayne L. Bowe, and two containers that had 6.6 grams and 3.8 grams respectively of what is believed to be marijuana in them. Bowe was then placed under arrest for the possession of a controlled substance. The K-9 alerted to a black backpack and inside of that was found a container that had 4.2 grams of what is believed to be marijuana in it.
One of the passengers, George A. Thompson, said the backpack belonged to him. Subsequent to his arrest for possession of a controlled substance, Thompson was searched and on his person two hand rolled cigarettes, containing what is believed to be 2.2 grams of marijuana were also found.
Bowe and Thompson were both transported to the Riverside Police Department for booking on the following municipal charges: Bowe for speeding and possession of a controlled substance with a bond of $750; Thompson for the possession of a controlled substance with a bond of $500. The third passenger in the car, who was not charged, posted bond for both men and they were released with a court date of December 18, 2013.

on the week of a huge division game. idiots gonna idiot.

LarryDavid -- the Ravens did . also -- whos to say the Panthers make the playoffs this year :nerd:

Fair enough, but barring a significant injury; roughly a top 8 QB, a top 3 defense, and a top 10 run game (not even at full strength) that plays with a ton of heart is almost a guarenteed slot in the playoffs.

this week is awesome. Don't know if I should root for SF or NO though

NO. Let's get this division and then we can stomp the Saints on MNF.

Plus we get to continue rooting for the Panthers all season. NO has to play them twice now.
