I think Vick starts next year. NYJ, Jax, Hou, Minn, Cle, Oak, Ari....there's too many teams that need a QB. I will be shocked if he's not starting somewhere. If not at the beginning of the year, he'll start by week 4 or 5.

I don't know if anyone has heard (or cares) about the Brandon Browner situation, but there are still some weird happenings going on.   Looks like there is still some sort of process taking place regarding the suspension.  

-Basically, the reason that it was extended to 1 year is because he "missed" an NFL test while he was out of the league playing in the CFL (or so it is being speculated).  Sounds like he is appealing that reasoning, similar to what Mike Florio suggested yesterday.

-He may have failed an initial test during his first stint on the Broncos, or he may have voluntarily enrolled in the testing program at that time to try and boost his draft stock (he was undrafted, so clearly it didn't work)

-Either way, he clearly failed the test this time.  But it looks like they do distinguish between PEDs (his suspension last year at this same damn time) and substance abuse violations (this one), so it's possible he could get his sentence reduced...  Which would have a huge impact on whether he stays on the team going forward.  

-Browner is injured, so either way it has no impact on Monday's game.  

Situation still pretty cloudy.  If I had to bet I'd say (sadly) he's done with the Seahawks.  But I'm a big BB fan after what it took for him to get back into the league (CFL star like Cam Wake), so I'm hopeful....

I hate to say it, but the Seahawks have too much depth in it's secondary for BB's suspension to affect it significantly.

Yeah pretty much.  More about his career going forward, whether on the Seahawks or elsewhere.  He would have been in line for a big contract from someone, but if he's suspended for a year getting back into the league could be a climb at his age.

C'mon, man.

The bottom one should definitely have been a foul though, you aren't even allowed to make contact with a QB's helmet like that.

I know QB's-- Err..I mean Peyton, Brees and Brady get these calls (and rightfully so in some ways) but my point is that you cannot cost a team a win on a hit that was less harsh than the one that wasnt called (below). It was FOUR days later that the hit on Matt Ryan happened by the same exact team who had just benefitted from the call and had EVERYBODY talking about it.

No going back I get it, but c'mon now its straight up bull ****. I would like to think a fan of a team with a physical and good defense like the Seahawks would be the first to agree I'm sure had this happened to Seattle you'd be talking a lot differently.

I'm sure had this happened to Seattle you'd be talking a lot differently.

I like hard hits and I don't like when QBs get treated like special citizens.

But I mean, both of those were personal fouls by the rules.  The second one looks like a facemask.  Obviously a bad non-call, but that doesn't make the Brooks move legal.  

Also, when it comes to head/neck stuff I don't have a big problem with rules being enforced strictly.  I know you guys are pissed that a personal foul had such an impact on the game, but he committed a foul, so...

And I'll still defend the fail mary, so don't bring my own homerism into play here.

Let's not get into THAT again.

If you take a catastrophic hit to your knee it might end your career, but the same hit to your head or neck could end your life.

I feel you man, I don't want to get into a back and forth. It's just very frustrating to see something like this happen not even a week later and not be called. Especially when we are, or were, trying to catch you guys/a 1st round bye as well as gave New Orleans the tiebreaker over us.

Word.  Nothing worse than inconsistent refereeing, especially when it's deciding games for you.  No matter the sport.
