To me, a contract is only bad when you have guarantee money tied up in a player that isn't on your team or you can't cut him because you have guaranteed him too much money.
Decker is going to sign a 4 or 5 year deal for 40-50 million dollars and every one is going to freak out. However if only 20-25 million of that is guaranteed then its a good deal.
Paying Eric Decker 25-30 million for the next 3 years to be a high end #2 then being able to cut him after 3 years and not have a crazy cap hit is how I would play it and I'm no fan of Eric Decker.
